Big X (ビッグX,Biggu Ekkusu) is a science fiction manga series and an anime series by Osamu Tezuka,about German Nazis trying to create secret weapons toward the end of World War II. The anime,which was Tokyo Movie's first work,is considered lost,with only episodes 1,11-12,14,and 40-59 known to survive. [3]
Invited to Nazi Germany during World War II,Dr. Asagumo is asked by Hitler to collaborate in researching the new weapon "Big X". Concerned about the possible effects of this weapon,Dr. Asagumo intentionally delays the progress of the research,conspiring with his co-researcher,the devious Dr. Engel. Immediately before Germany is defeated by the Allies,Dr. Asagumo is shot to death by the German army but not before implanting a card inscribed with the secret of Big X into his son,Shigeru. An organization claiming alliance with the Nazis appears,steals the card from Shigeru,who now lives in Tokyo,and completes the Big X project,which is revealed to be a drug that can expand the human body without limitation. Dr. Engel's grandson has joined the Nazi Alliance. Recovering Big X from the enemy,Shigeru's son Akira fearlessly challenges the Nazi Alliance and Hans Engel,who are plotting to conquer the world.

Katsuhiro Otomo is a Japanese manga artist,screenwriter,animator,and film director. He is best known as the creator of Akira,both the original 1982 manga series and the 1988 animated film adaptation. He was decorated a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2005,promoted to Officier of the order in 2014,became the fourth manga artist ever inducted into the American Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2012,and was awarded the Purple Medal of Honor from the Japanese government in 2013. Otomo later received the Winsor McCay Award at the 41st Annie Awards in 2014 and the 2015 Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême,the first manga artist to receive the award. Otomo is married to Yoko Otomo. Together they have one child,a son named Shohei Otomo,who is also an artist.
Astro Boy,known in Japan as Mighty Atom,is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. It was serialized in Kobunsha's Shōnen from 1952 to 1968. The 112 chapters were collected into 23 tankōbon volumes by Akita Shoten. Dark Horse Comics published an English translation in 2002. The story follows Astro Boy,an android young boy with human emotions who is created by Umataro Tenma after the recent death of his son Tobio. Eventually,Astro is sold to a robot circus run by Hamegg,but is saved from his servitude by Professor Ochanomizu. Astro becomes a surrogate son to Ochanomizu who creates a robotic family for Astro and helps him to live a normal life like an average human boy,while accompanying him on his adventures.
Kimba the White Lion,known in Japan as Jungle Emperor,is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka which was serialized in the Manga Shōnen magazine from November 1950 to April 1954. An anime based on the manga was created by Mushi Production and was broadcast on Fuji Television from 1965 to 1967. It was the first color animated television series created in Japan. It began airing in North America from 1966. The later series was produced by Tezuka Productions.

Phoenix is an unfinished manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. Tezuka considered Phoenix his "life's work";it consists of 12 parts,each of which tells a separate,self-contained story and takes place in a different era. The plots go back and forth from the remote future to prehistoric times. The story was never completed,having been cut short by Tezuka's death in 1989.
Osamu Tezuka's Star System is the name given to the recurring characters in manga created by manga artist Osamu Tezuka.
