In 1960, Yazid, together with his friend Rosli and a few other settlers arrived in Lurah Bilut, Malaya's first FELDA settlement, in western Pahang, which they regarded as the land of exploration and opportunity. Things weren't easy for them to get their settlements going and their confidence was first put to the test with the death of Rosli who was hit by a falling tree.
From then onwards, they had to go through various hardships and tribulations– wild animals that share their habitat, natural disaster of storm and flood, and life with the society that emerged there. Yazid's most unbearable challenge was when his third child, Yamin, died after being attacked by a tiger.
Yusof, Yazid's son excelled in his study and became the first settler's son to have been awarded a scholarship to study abroad. It was in Brussels that Yusof knew life better, meets many new people, including his Filipino best friend, Gabriel, deals with love and loss, and grows.
In 2006, Gabriel, now a filmmaker, comes to Malaysia to do a study on the success and contribution of FELDA to both Malaysians and its economy. Gabriel meets up with Yusof who is now an executive in FELDA for his docu-drama project. Yusof takes Gabriel to the FELDA settlement and shows him the fruit of hard work of the early FELDA settlers.

FELDA LB Johnson or Kampung LB Johnson is a settlement village in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Formerly known as "LKTP Labu Jaya", opened by the first group of settlers in 1963. The FELDA settlement was named after former President of the United States, Lyndon Baines Johnson, who visited LKTP Labu Jaya on 31 October 1966. It was one of the places he visited as part of his trip to Malaysia. After President Johnson's visit, the settlement was renamed FELDA LB Johnson in honour of his visit.

Abang Long Fadil is a 2014 Malaysian action comedy film written and directed by Syafiq Yusof. It features an ensemble cast including Zizan Razak, Tauke Jambu, Kamal Adli, Soffi Jikan, Aaron Aziz, Yassin Yahya and the late Harun Salim Bachik. The film is the spin-off from 2011 film KL Gangster directed by Syafiq's older brother Syamsul Yusof and the first in Abang Long Fadil trilogy. The movie was released on May 29, 2014 and received positive reviews. Its sequel Abang Long Fadil 2 was released on August 24, 2017.
Datuk Mastura binti Mohd Yazid is a Malaysian politician. She has served as the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for Special Functions in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and Minister Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof since March 2020 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kuala Kangsar since May 2018.
