Bleeding Through is the sixth studio album by American metalcore band Bleeding Through. The album was released through Rise Records on April 13, 2010. [1]
The eponymous album is the band's first release through Rise Records after a very open and public fallout with their previous label, Trustkill Records, in 2008. [2] Bleeding Through announced the split with Trustkill shortly after releasing their previous album, Declaration . In late 2009, the band announced their signing to Rise Records. Craig Ericson, President of Rise expressed his excitement to work with Bleeding Through stating, "We've been huge fans ever since they released an album on Indecision Records. Having Bleeding Through in the family is a dream come true. We both share extreme passion for music and can't wait to show the world what we can achieve together as a team." [3] The band was mutually excited to work with Rise, due to the label's enthusiasm to help the band grow and reach their potential. Vocalist Brandan Schieppati stated, "After 10 years, we have been content with the fan base, the familiarity of touring and the comfort of knowing what to expect at every show. Rise wants to build on that." [4]
Bleeding Through is also the first studio album to feature Dave Nassie, who has previously played in punk rock groups No Use for a Name, 22 Jacks, Suicidal Tendencies and the funk metal band Infectious Grooves. [5] Nassie replaced former guitarist Jona Weinhofen, who left Bleeding Through after two years due to Trustkill not paying royalties and returned home to Australia. [5] [6]

Bleeding Through debuted at number 143 on the US Billboard 200 with 3,700 copies sold in the first week. This is significantly lower than the band's previous album, 2008's Declaration , which peaked at number 101 and sold 6,000 copies in the first week. [14]

Killswitch Engage is an American metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1999 after the disbanding of Overcast and Aftershock. Killswitch Engage's current lineup consists of vocalist Jesse Leach, guitarists Joel Stroetzel and Adam Dutkiewicz, bassist Mike D'Antonio, and drummer Justin Foley. The band has released eight studio albums and three live performance albums. Their eighth studio album, Atonement, was released on August 16, 2019. The band's upcoming ninth album, This Consequence, is set to be released in Early 2025.

The songs "Forever" and "Burn" were staples on MTV2's Headbangers Ball and Revolver Magazine called them part of "The Future of Metal" after hearing the album Vendetta. Initially branded a hardcore punk band, albums like Venom and Tears and Deathless took a sharp turn towards metal, with critics likening the band's sound to that of Pantera and Sepultura. Eighteen Visions is an American metalcore band from Orange County, California, formed in October 1995. The band broke up in April 2007, less than a year after their major label debut was released through Epic and Trustkill Records. After over a decade of absence, the band reformed in 2017. They announced their sixth album, XVIII, would be released via their new label home at Rise Records.
Trustkill Records is an American independent record label that started as a hardcore punk fanzine in April 1993. It started releasing hardcore, metal and rock records and merchandise in 1994. In 2010, the president of Trustkill, Josh Grabelle, formed a new label called Bullet Tooth Records. In 2022, the rights to the label were reverted to Grabelle and he resumed operations. The label has sold over two million albums worldwide.
Alex Varkatzas is an American musician, best known as the former lead vocalist of metalcore band Atreyu from its inception in 1998 until his departure from the band in 2020. In 2011, during the band's hiatus, Varkatzas also started a hardcore project with Bleeding Through vocalist Brandan Schieppati named I Am War.
Brandan Schieppati is an American musician. He is the singer of metalcore band Bleeding Through and a former guitarist/songwriter of the fellow Orange County metalcore band Eighteen Visions, for which he played from 1997 to 2002. He is also a bodybuilder, personal trainer and "Rise Above Fitness" gym owner. He was strictly straight edge from an early age until his late twenties.

Like, we'll be in France and all of a sudden we'll feel totally insignificant. You get the feeling that people's eyes are just burning a hole through you."
Meridional is the fifth studio album by American metalcore band Norma Jean. The album was released on July 12, 2010, and is also the band's first release through Razor & Tie since leaving Solid State Records in 2009. After recording their two previous studio albums, The Anti Mother and Redeemer, with producer Ross Robinson, Norma Jean selected Jeremy Griffith to produce Meridional in order to expand their sound.
