Gabriel Bogdan Țăruș (Romanian pronunciation: [ɡabriˈelboɡˈdantsəˈruʃ] ; born 1 August 1975) is a former Romanian athlete who competed in long jump. He has, success in World Championships. His personal best is 8.29 metres, achieved in 1996. He retired in the summer of 2006.
The men's long jump competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens was held at the Olympic Stadium on 24–26 August. Forty athletes from 30 nations competed. The event was won by Dwight Phillips of the United States, the nation's 21st gold medal in the men's long jump.

In addition to his 1974 gold medal he won two world and two European medals on the rings. He retired due to injuries to his shoulder and biceps sustained in training while preparing to the 1980 Olympics.
