Camila Alejandra Barraza (born 27 August 1993) is an Argentinian-Albanian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Kosovo 2016 and represented Kosovo at Miss Universe 2016.

Miss Universe Kosova is a national beauty pageant that sends representatives from Kosovo to the Miss Universe pageant.

Kosovo, officially the Republic of Kosovo, is a partially recognized state and disputed territory in Southeastern Europe.

Miss Universe 2016, the 65th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 30 January 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines crowned her successor Iris Mittenaere of France the end of the event. This is the second time in the history of the competition that the pageant skipped the entire year, following the 2014 pageant which was held in January 2015.

Personal life

Barraza was born in Pilar, Buenos Aires, Argentina, but resides in Pristina, Kosovo, where she works as a model. She became a Kosovar citizen in December 2016.^[1]

Pilar is a city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina with a population of 299,077 as per the 2010 census [INDEC]. It is part of the Greater Buenos Aires urban conurbation and is the seat of the administrative division of Pilar Partido. Since the early 1990s, Pilar has gained an increasingly upscale profile due to the development of numerous gated communities, country clubs and polo fields.

Pristina or Prishtina is the capital and largest city of Kosovo. The city has a majority Albanian population, alongside other smaller communities. With a municipal population of 204,721 inhabitants (2016), Pristina is the second-largest city in the world with a predominantly Albanian-speaking population, after Albania's capital, Tirana. Within Serbia, it would be the 4th largest. Geographically, it is located in the north-eastern part of Kosovo close to the Goljak mountains.

Miss Universe Kosovo 2016

On September 7, 2016 Barraza, was crowned Miss Universe Kosovo 2016. She represented Kosovo at Miss Universe 2016 in the Philippines.^{[ citation needed ]}
