Carla "KC" Hanson is an American politician who currently serves as the Chairperson of the Democratic Party of Oregon. [1]
Hanson has a history of progressive and liberal activism and has previously served as chair of the Multnomah County Democratic Party. [2]
Hanson is an LGBT+ activist who was active in 1990's Oregon with No on Hate PAC,No on 9 PAC and No on 13 PAC,political action committees formed to defend the LGBT community from anti-gay initiatives of that decade. Hanson was a founding member of the Oregon Voter Rights Coalition,an election reform organization formed in 2005,and served as its Executive Director 2005–2007. Hanson was a PLEO (Party Leader or Elected Official) Delegate to the 2008 and 2012 Democratic National Conventions,and was an unpledged delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
Theodore Ralph Kulongoski is an American politician,judge,and lawyer who served as the 36th Governor of Oregon from 2003 to 2011. A member of the Democratic Party,he served in both houses of the Oregon Legislative Assembly and also served as the state Insurance Commissioner. He was the Attorney General of Oregon from 1993 to 1997 and a justice of the Oregon Supreme Court from 1997 to 2001. Kulongoski has served in all three branches of the Oregon state government.
