Estoril is a town in the Municipality of Cascais, Portugal, on the Portuguese Riviera. It is a popular tourist destination, with hotels, beaches, and the Casino Estoril. It has been home to numerous royal families and celebrities, and has hosted a number of high-profile events, such as the Estoril Open and the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival.
Portimão is a city and a municipality in the district of Faro, in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. The population in 2022 was 60,879, in an area of 182.06 km2. It was formerly known as Vila Nova de Portimão. In 1924, it was incorporated as a cidade and became known merely as Portimão. Historically a fishing and shipbuilding centre, it has nonetheless developed into a strong tourist centre oriented along its beaches and southern coast. The two largest population centers in the Algarve are Portimão and Faro.

The Dragon's long keel and elegant metre-boat lines remain unchanged, but today Dragons are constructed using the latest technology to make the boat durable and easy to maintain. GRP construction was introduced in 1973 and the rigging has been regularly updated.

He represented Portugal, along with his partner Francisco Andrade, at the 2008, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. He has trained for Cascais Naval Club throughout most of his sporting career under his personal coach Pedro Pinto. As of September 2014, Lima is ranked twenty-fourth in the world for the men's skiff class by the International Sailing Federation, following his successes at the European Championships, and 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Santander, Spain.

The Santa Marta Lighthouse is situated to the south of the centre of Cascais, Lisbon District, Portugal, on the estuary of the River Tagus, providing a light for the Cascais Bay and for the town's new marina. It is a quadrangular masonry tower covered with white tiles, with blue horizontal stripes and a red lantern. The lighthouse was built on the grounds of the Santa Marta Fort, which now houses a lighthouse museum.
The Citadel of Cascais is a set of fortifications built between the 15th and 17th centuries to defend the Cascais coastline and River Tagus estuary and to protect against attacks on the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. The citadel incorporates three separate developments, the tower of Santo António de Cascais, the Fortress of Our Lady of Light, and the former Royal Palace area.
André Otto da Fonseca is a Brazilian sailor, who specialized in the double-dinghy (470) and skiff (49er) classes. A three-time Olympian, he started his career as a double-handed dinghy sailor in Sydney, before switching to the skiff for the remaining two editions of the Games, finishing in sixth and seventh place, respectively. A Florianópolis native, Fonseca trained most of his competitive sporting career at Santa Catarina Yacht Club.
Sailing competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics are scheduled to be held from July 28th to August 8th at Marseille Marina. The number of sailors competing across ten different events at these Games has been reduced from 350 to 330, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes are instituted in the sailing program for Paris 2024 to reinforce gender equality and vast diversity among the nations in the qualifying process.
