Cemalverdi Mountains (Turkish : Cemalverdi Dağları), is a mountain range in Turkey at the zero point of the provincial border of Muş and Ağrı. [1]

The Urartian name of the Cemalverdi Mountains was Adduri Mountain. [2]

Geology and geomorphology

Cemalverdi Mountains are located in the east of the Malazgirt basin [3] and it forms the eastern border of the Malazgirt Plain. [4]

Before the construction of the Keban Dam, the Murat River joined the Karasu River or Western Euphrates 10 km (6.2 mi) north of the dam site and 13 km (8.1 mi) north of the town of Keban.

The Kocasu Creek, also called Hınıs Çayı, is one of the tributaries of the Murat River in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey.

The Bulanık Plain, is located in the northern of the city center of Bulanık. The area of the plain is 525.2 km2. This plain looks like a thin strip along the Murat river. The length of the plain is about 20 km. In the Bulanık plain, grain and plenty of sheep and cattle are usually grown.

The Malazgirt Plain ,(Kurdish: Deşta Milazgirê), is located in the northern of the city center of Malazgirt. The eastern border of the Malazgirt Plain is formed by the Cemalverdi Mountains located on the border of Patnos district of Ağrı.
