Chekiang First Bank was a bank in Hong Kong incorporated in 1950 by Li Ming. It is now merged to Wing Hang Bank. At the time of the merger with Wing Hang,Chekiang First Bank had 17 branches in Hong Kong,a wholly owned subsidiary in Luxembourg,an agency in San Francisco,and a representative office in Shanghai. As of 31 December 2002,Chekiang First had total assets of HK$27.8 billion. Wing Hang subsequent re-branded all services under the Wing Hang brand.

Hangchow University,also spelled as Zhijiang University and formerly known as Hangchow Christian College,Hangchow College, and Hangchow Presbyterian College,is a defunct Protestant missionary university in China,which is one of the predecessors of Zhejiang University. Founded as Ningpo Boy’s Boarding School by Divie Bethune McCartee and colleagues of Northern Presbyterian Church in Ningbo in 1845,the university was one of the oldest missionary schools in China before it was shut down in 1952. The university was merged into Zhejiang University and other universities in China. Its campus was taken over by Zhejiang University as its Zhijiang Campus in 1961,which became a major nationally protected historic site in 2006.

The banknotes of the Ta-Ching Government Bank,known as the banknotes of the Ta-Ching Bank of the Ministry of Revenue from 1905 to 1908,were intended to become the main form of paper money in the Qing currency system. Li Ming was a Chinese banking and investing pioneer. He formed the Chekiang Industrial Bank in 1922 and was General Manager and later Chairman until 1949. In 1950 he founded the Chekiang First Bank Ltd. in Hong Kong,and served as Chairman until his death in 1966. Over the course of his career he held more than thirty directorships in banks,industrial concerns,insurance companies and public utilities,and served in many key governmental positions of financial administration. He was a founder and Chairman of the Shanghai Bankers' Association.
