Christine Busch Andreasen (born 15 March 2001) is a Danish badminton player specialized in doubles play.

Career

Busch won a bronze medal in the mixed doubles and a silver medal in the women's team event at the 2018 European Junior Championships. [1]

In 2022, Busch managed to bring home two victories in the women's doubles and mixed doubles finals at the Czech Open. [2]

Busch and Vestergaard won their first BWF 100 championship at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Masters after defeating the Singaporean pair Jessica Tan and Terry Hee in a rubber set. Shortly after that, the four met again at the 2023 Guwahati Masters, and this time, Busch and Vestergaard had to accept defeat. [3] [4]

In the team event, Busch helped Denmark defend their European Mixed Team title after defeating France in the final with a score of 3–2. [5]

BWF World Tour (1 titles, 1 runners-up)

The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018, [6] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tours are divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300 (part of the HSBC World Tour), and the BWF Tour Super 100. [7]

Tan Wee Kiong is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He had a partnership with Goh V Shem, which began at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Tan and Goh won the gold medal in the men's doubles and the mixed team event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. They also won bronze at the 2014 Asian Games. In their Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics, they won the silver medal, becoming the first Malaysian pair to achieve such a feat since 1996. In November 2016, they reached a career-high ranking of world number 1, making them the fifth ever Malaysian men's doubles pair to do so, after Razif Sidek and Jalani Sidek, followed by Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock, Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng, and Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong.

Tang Jinhua is a Chinese retired badminton player who competed at the highest level of badminton tournaments during the second decade of the 2000s, winning numerous women's doubles and occasional mixed doubles events with a variety of partners. She is a graduate of Hunan University.

Lai Pei Jing is a Malaysian badminton player who played in the doubles events. She started her career in the women's singles event. She briefly partnered Chan Peng Soon in mid-2014 and in August that year, they reached a world ranking of No. 48. However, she resumed her partnership with Tan Aik Quan later that month. Since 2016, she has been partnered with Tan Kian Meng.

Marcus Ellis is a British badminton player. He was the men's doubles champion in the English National Championships. Ellis and Chris Langridge won a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, also gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. At the 2019 Minsk European Games, Ellis captured two gold medals; in the men's doubles with Langridge and in the mixed doubles event with Lauren Smith.

Kim Astrup Sørensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the men's doubles gold medalists at the 2018 European Championships and the 2023 European Games with his partner Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Astrup joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Together with Rasmussen, he reached a career high of World number 5 in September 2018.

Tan Kian Meng is a Malaysian badminton player who specializes in the doubles events. He is currently playing with Lai Pei Jing in mixed doubles. Originally a singles player, he switched to play in the doubles events since August 2014 due to slow career progress.

Mathias Bay-Smidt is a Danish badminton player. In 2014, he won his first senior international title at the Finnish International tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Frederik Søgaard. In 2016, he won the Czech International tournament in the mixed doubles event partnered with Alexandra Bøje after fight through the qualification round, with the eight matches played.

Alexandra Bøje is a Danish badminton player. She won her first senior international title at the 2016 Czech International in the mixed doubles event partnered with Mathias Bay-Smidt after fight through the qualification round, with the eight matches played. She was part of the national team that clinched the gold medals at the 2019 European Mixed Team and 2020 Women's Team Championships. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Jessica Tan and her husband Terry Hee were nominated for the Straits Times Singaporean of the Year Award 2022. Terry Hee Yong Kai is a Singaporean badminton player. In mixed doubles with Jessica Tan, Hee won his first World Tour title at the 2022 India Open. Hee together with Jessica Tan also won the gold medal in the mixed doubles event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, a first for Singapore in that discipline at the Games. Terry Hee and his wife Jessica Tan were nominated for the Straits Times Singaporean of the Year Award 2022. Kong Hee-yong is a South Korean badminton player. In 2013, she won the mixed team gold at the BWF World Junior Championships. In 2014, Kong who was educated at the Daesung girls' high school competed at the Asian Junior Championships and won the silver medals in the mixed team and doubles event. She also play for the Jeonbuk Bank at the national event, and at the 2017 Japan Open, she became the runner-up in the women's doubles event partnered with Kim Ha-na. Together with Kim So-yeong, she was awarded as the 2019 BWF Most Improved Player of the Year.

Man Wei Chong is a Malaysian badminton player who specializes in doubles event. He was one of the compatriots of the Malaysian squad that won the silver medals at the 2016 and 2017 BWF World Junior Championships.

The 2020 BWF World Tour was the third season of the BWF World Tour of badminton, a circuit of 27 tournaments which led up to the World Tour Finals tournament. The 28 tournaments are divided into five levels: Level 1 was the said World Tour Finals, Level 2 called Super 1000, Level 3 called Super 750, Level 4 called Super 500 and Level 5 called Super 300. Each of these tournaments offers different ranking points and prize money. The highest points and prize pool were offered at the Super 1000 level.

Tee Kai Wun is a Malaysian badminton player. He helped Malaysia win a silver medal in the 2017 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team event.

The 2023 Abu Dhabi Masters was a badminton tournament which took place at the ADNEC Marina Hall in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 17 to 22 October 2023 and had a total prize of US$120,000.
