Colensoniella is a genus of fungi in the class Dothideomycetes. The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the class is unknown ( incertae sedis ). [1] A monotypic genus, it contains the single species Colensoniella torulispora.

The genus name of Colensoniella is in honour of A. Colenso, the plant collector of the plant in New Zealand. [2]

The genus was circumscribed by Josef Hafellner in Beih. Nova Hedwigia Vol.62 on page 160 in 1979.
