Colin Thompson (born February 17, 1994) is an American racing driver. After a career in single seaters, Thompson won the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Platinum Class in 2014 and the Pirelli World Challenge GT Cup in 2015. He is the son of 1989 American Racing Series driver John Thompson.
He has been engaged to Norwegian heiress Alexandra Andresen since January 2023. [1]
Thompson started racing in quarter midgets at age five at his local Oaklane Speedway in Trumbauersville, Pennsylvania. In 2008 the young driver won the Quarter Midget Association World Formula championship. After graduating the Skip Barber Racing School in 2009 Thompson raced in the Formula Skip Barber and Bertil Roos Racing Series. [2] In the Bertil Roos Racing Series Thompson won his first race at New Jersey Motorsports Park. [3]
For 2010 Thompson was selected as the youngest driver to compete in the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup. [4] The Pennsylvania native finished 19th in the season standings. [5] After running selected SCCA Formula Ford races in 2010, Thompson entered the 2011 F1600 Championship Series. In a Honda powered Swift DB6 Thompson achieved three podium finished. Three third placed at Watkins Glen and Lime Rock Park secured him a fifth place in the championship standings. In 2011 Thompson was a nominee for Team USA Scholarship. [6] Thompson joined Belardi Auto Racing for the 2012 season. The American started the season in the 2012 U.S. F2000 Winterfest. During the regular season, Thompson achieved eight top-ten finishes placing twelfth in the championship. [7]
After his single seater career Thompson moved into the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge for 2013. In a privately funded team, the driver scored two podium finishes. For 2014 Thompson signed with Kelly-Moss Motorsports. Winning three races (two at Watkins Glen and one at Road Atlanta, Thompson won the championship. [8] Thompson made a guest appearance in the Porsche Supercup. At Circuit of the Americas, supporting the 2014 United States Grand Prix, Thompson failed to finish. For 2015 Thompson remained at Kelly-Moss Motorsports for a Pirelli World Challenge GT Cup campaign. Scoring thirteen class wins out of eighteen races, Thompson dominated the championship. [9] The following year Thompson remained in the series but promoted to the GT class. Racing with the McLaren Automotive supported K-Pax Racing. His best result was a fourth place at Circuit of the Americas in his McLaren 650S.

Matt Campbell is an Australian racing car driver, specialising in sports car racing. He is a Porsche factory driver, having formerly been a junior then young professional. He is one of three factory drivers whose driver categorisation is gold alongside Sven Müller and Mathieu Jaminet. Campbell is the reigning champion of the 2022 IMSA SportsCar Championship in the GTD Pro class and is now a full-time driver of the #7 Porsche 963 for Porsche Penske Motorsport. Campbell won the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia driving for McElrea Racing. Campbell moved to Germany in 2017 and was third in the 2017 Porsche Supercup. Campbell is currently driving for Dempsey-Proton Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMGTE Am class driving a Porsche 911 RSR. He has taken three victories including at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans. Campbell also won the 2019 Bathurst 12 Hour driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R for Earl Bamber Motorsport.
Trenton Estep is an American professional racing driver. Estep grew up racing karts from the age of 4 years old in New Braunfels, Texas. He competed in various karting competitions such as SKUSA Pro Tour, Florida Winter Tour, US Open and Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal. In 2016 he made the transition from karts to open wheel cars. He entered the Formula Tour F1600, Canadian F1600 Super Series and F1600 Championship Series winning two Championships. He also ran in the opening round of the Redbull Global Rallycross Championship in Phoenix Arizona. In 2017 Estep made his transition from open wheel to cars in the North American Porsche GT3 Cup Series, with JDX Racing. Estep finished on podium 11 of 16 races with multiple wins placing 3rd in the Porsche GT3 Cup Championship. In 2018 he returned to the Porsche GT3 Cup series with JDX Racing with renewed sponsorship by Hertz Global along with a new sponsor Byers Porsche of Columbus Ohio. Estep went on to finish on Podium in 14 of 16 races winning the 2018 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Championship. A final honor to end his season was being chosen by Porsche Motorsports to attend the Porsche Junior Programme Shootout in Le Castellet at Circuit Paul Ricard. Estep was only 1 of 11 and the youngest at age 18 of the top Porsche drivers from all over the world under the age of 25 to receive the exclusive invite.
