In Europe, the song was released in October 2000. The song is from D'Agostino's 1999 album of the same name. Ola Onabule is the vocalist of this song. He performs all the vocals on the track and on all versions of the song. It became an international success and a huge hit throughout Europe, Latin America, Asia and Canada. In 2001, the song became extremely popular in the American dance club scene, peaking at number 78 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 15 September 2001. The album version has a different mix, which was used as the single version in the United States except with vocal samples from "Bla Bla Bla" added.

It has been covered multiple times, with versions by Norwegian hip-hop duo Madcon and Italian rock band Måneskin topping music charts in Europe and beyond. The Four Seasons' version was remixed in 2007 by French DJ Pilooski and re-released as a single, reaching number 32 in the UK Singles Chart, commercially outperforming the band's original release in the UK.

"Sweater Weather" is a song by American alternative band the Neighbourhood. The song was written by group members Jesse Rutherford, Zach Abels and Jeremy Freedman, and was produced by Justyn Pilbrow. It serves as the lead single from their debut studio album, I Love You (2013). "Sweater Weather" reached number one on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart in June 2013, logging eleven non-consecutive weeks at the summit of the chart. Pentatonix covered the song for their 2018 album Christmas Is Here! with an accompanying music video. The song was also covered by Kurt Hugo Schneider, Alyson Stoner, and Max S in 2014. In mid-to-late 2020, the song experienced a resurgence in popularity due to it being used on the social media platform TikTok. The song gained over 5 million on-demand streams on Spotify within the month of November 2020. As of August 26th 2024, the song is ranked in the top 10 of the most streamed songs on Spotify. In late 2023, for the 35th anniversary of Alternative Airplay, Billboard ranked the song as the 15th-most successful in the chart's history.

"Toosie Slide" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake from his commercial mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes (2020). Written alongside producer OZ, it was released as the lead single on April 3, 2020, through Republic and OVO. The song is titled after social media influencer, Toosie, who had previously helped the song go viral. A video was released alongside the song, showing Drake quarantined, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also demonstrates the Toosie Slide dance in his Toronto mansion. The song debuted at number eighteen on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 before debuting at number one on the main Billboard Hot 100 chart the next week, making Drake the first male artist to accomplish three number-one debuts.

It was released through Parlophone and Warner Music Group on July 9, 2020, as the second single from Ashnikko's debut mixtape Demidevil. The song was written by Ashnikko and Slinger and produced by Slinger. It is a pop-trap and alt-pop song with elements of EDM, and lyrically revolves around the character Daisy, whom Ashnikko created as a vigilante who kills rapists and leaves daisies behind as a calling card.

"Relación" is a song recorded by Panamanian singer and songwriter Sech. The song was released on April 1, 2020 as the second single from his sophomore studio album 1 of 1, released a month later. It was written by the performer alongside its producers and Joshua Méndez and Ramses Herrera. The track was produced by Jorge Valdes and Miguel Andrés Martínez, better known as Dímelo Flow and Slow Mike. "Relación" became a top ten hit in Panama, Argentina and Spain as well as a very popular song on TikTok. In the United States, the track made it to the twenty-second position on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.

"Love Nwantiti" is a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter CKay, released in 2019 as the second track from his second extended play Ckay the First by Chocolate City through Warner Music Group. A remix of the song titled "Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)" featuring Nigerian singer Joeboy and Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene, released as a single in February 2020, became a commercial success in Nigeria, Middle East, North Africa and in many European club venues, as well as the subject of collaborations with few local artists for localised variations. The French version included vocals by French rapper Franglish.

"I Love You So" is a song by American indie-pop band the Walters. It was released on November 28, 2014 from the band's debut EP Songs for Dads. In 2021, it went viral on video sharing app TikTok, where it has over half a million views, and gained over 1 billion streams on Spotify. The song was included in the band's first EP after their 2021 reunion, Try Again, released in May 2022.

"Bones" is a song by American pop rock band Imagine Dragons. The song was released through Interscope and Kidinakorner on March 11, 2022, as the lead single from the band's fifth studio album, Mercury – Acts 1 & 2. It was written by Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee, Daniel Platzman, and its producers Mattman & Robin.

"No Se Va" is a song by Colombian band Morat. It was released on 7 March 2019 as the sixth single from their album Balas perdidas (2018). Its official music video was released on the same day. Though it did not chart by its release, it would eventually go viral after a cover of the song published by regional Mexican band Grupo Frontera went viral on TikTok. It reached chart positions in Bolivia and Peru in 2022, as well as later certifications in Mexico, Spain, and the United States.
