The Cronulla-Sutherland District Rugby Football League (Cronulla-Sutherland District Junior Rugby Football League in the case of junior football) is an amateur competition for rugby league clubs in and around the Sutherland Shire district of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
The Cronulla-Sutherland District Rugby Football League was formed in the early 1950s following the formation of several new Sutherland Shire based clubs and the arrangement of a committee that would eventually become the CSDRFL. All Shire based clubs had previously played in several Inter-District matches throughout the year but with the formation of a localised Sutherland league these were no longer deemed necessary.
The Cronulla-Sutherland Junior District Rugby Football League was formed in 1963 after a general meeting among several of the already established junior clubs whom decided it would be beneficial to form and arrange an annual competition amongst themselves and other teams in the Sutherland Shire.
Since its inception several new teams have gradually joined the association where the team numbers now stand at a total of sixteen clubs.
Southern Open Age (previously known as Cronulla A-Grade) is the premier rugby league competition clubs in the Cronulla-Sutherland and St. George districts of Sydney. After absorbing the St. George District A-Grade competition in 2021, the competition now features 12 clubs in 2023, across two divisions, Gold (First Grade) and Silver (Second Grade), the latter of which is split into two conferences.

Since the establishments of both the CSDRFL and the CSDJRFL many local players have gone on to play first grade for many of the Australian and overseas professional teams contained in the National Rugby League and the Super League.
The vast majority of these players have usually gone on to appear for both the local sides in the area; the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and the St. George Dragons/St George Illawarra Dragons.

Steven Frederick Rogers was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. He played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and St. George Dragons teams in the New South Wales Rugby League premiership competition and for Widnes in the English Championship, usually in the position of centre. Rogers represented New South Wales and Australia captaining the national team once in 1981.
William John Smith is an Australian former rugby league footballer. He was the leading halfback in Australian rugby league during the late 1960s, and a keystone of the latter part of the St. George Dragons' eleven consecutive premiership victories between 1956 and 1966. He represented Australia in eighteen Tests and eight World Cup games between 1964 and 1970. He captained Australia in a World Cup game against Great Britain in 1970.
Sam Isemonger is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He played most of his professional career for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the Australian National Rugby League competition, making 74 appearances over 8 seasons, before spending his last 2 NRL seasons with the St George Illawarra Dragons. His position of choice was the second row.
The St. George Illawarra Dragons are an Australian professional rugby league football club, representing both the Illawarra and St George regions of New South Wales. The club has competed in the National Rugby League (NRL) since 1999 after a joint-venture was formed between the St. George Dragons and the Illawarra Steelers. The club officially formed as the game's first joint-venture club on 23 September 1998 and remains the only inter-city team in the NRL. The team has its headquarters and leagues clubs in both Wollongong and the Sydney suburb of Kogarah, and trains and plays games regularly at WIN Stadium in Wollongong, as well as at Jubilee Oval in Kogarah. From 1999 to 2006 the club was jointly owned by the St. George Dragons 50% and Illawarra Steelers 50%. In 2006 WIN Corporation purchased 50% of the Illawarra Steelers stake in the club before purchasing the rest of the Illawarra Steelers' share in August 2018.
Endeavour Field is a rugby league stadium in the southern Sydney suburb of Woolooware, New South Wales, Australia. It is the home ground of the Cronulla-Sutherland Rugby League Club, which represents the Cronulla and Sutherland Shire areas in the National Rugby League competition. The Sharks are as of 2023 just one of two professional sporting clubs in Australia that own and operate their home ground as well as Western United's future home ground Wyndham City Stadium. The Sharkies Leagues Club sits beside the stadium.
Norman Douglas Somerville Provan was an Australian professional rugby league footballer and coach. Also nicknamed "Sticks", he was a second-row forward with the St George Dragons during the first ten of their eleven consecutive premiership-winning years (1956-1966). Named among the nation's finest footballers of the 20th century, he was a representative in the Australia national team from 1954 to 1960, winning 14 Tests and two World Cups. In 2018, he was inducted as the 13th Immortal of Australian rugby league.
Hassan Saleh is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He played for the Wests Tigers, St George Illawarra Dragons and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League competition. He also represented the Lebanon national rugby league team on several occasions, including the 2000 World Cup. Saleh's position of choice was usually on the wing but he also played at fullback.
Dimitri Pelo is a French former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Canberra Raiders in the NRL. He has previously played for Montpellier Herault RC after switching codes in 2010 and for the Catalans Dragons club of the Super League. He plays as a wing or fullback.

Parramatta Junior Rugby League formed in 1946, when, as a result of expanding urban sprawl an influx of residents flocked to the immediate Parramatta area in Sydney, this caused a compacted competition to be formed and the Western Districts and Southern Districts competitions were revamped. In its fledgling years the competitions took in teams from far adrift as Liverpool and St Marys and just about every town on the Cumberland plateau.
