Nonso Temisan Ajufo known professionally as DJ Big N is a Nigerian DJ. As part of Mavin Records, DJ Big N has supported several of the label's top-billed acts, including supporting Tiwa Savage on her first American tour. [1] He has released several Mavin themed mixtapes, including the "Mavin All Stars" mixtape, the ‘Surulere Mixtape Volume 1’, the "ENERGY Mixtape", and several Afro session Mixtapes with “Alternate Sound” band. Early life

Big N was born in Lagos State to Nigerian parents and currently lives in Lagos state, Nigeria after moving back from the United Kingdom where he went to further his studies. He obtained an MBA degree from Coventry University in England. [3] He also holds a BSc degree in Psychology from the University of Lagos. He is the second half of a set of twins. He has a twin sister. He attended King's College Lagos and Corona School, Ikoyi. [4]

Career

DJ Big N started his career in the UK playing local clubs in the West Midlands before guest playing at the Palms Club in Coventry as well as Guest playing at Club "Release". He also played for the Nigerian independence 2009 in Coventry, where he got his big break. [5] Dj Big N has performed alongside acts like Kool & the Gang, Maxi Priest, Dru Hill, Billy Ocean and Joe. He also was the official DJ for the Jarule and Ashanti show which held in Lagos in October 2014. In February 2014, he was appointed as Mavin records artist, Dr Sid official Disk Jockey. He later went on to become the official DJ for the Mavin UK tour.

DJ Big N became an active member of Mavin Records Dynasty in 2013 and plays as Mavin Records official DJ. [6] He was the DJ of Rema’s first America tour. After years behind turntable, he took the microphone releasing series of singles featuring star artistes including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Kizz Daniel, Tiwa Savage and Rema. [7] [8] In September 2014, DJ BIG N released the first ever official MAVIN Mixtape. [9] He was the official DJ for the Nigerian Centenary event that took place in Abuja in January 2014. He released the first ever "MAVIN ALL STARS MIXTAPE".

He has worked with Mavin Records on live performances and DJ sets. In 2024, he joined The Recording Academy and won the Red Bull Spin It Loud Nigeria competition. [10] [11]

It also peaked at number two on the Pulse Nigeria Music Video chart. "Surulere" won Best Collabo of the Year at the 2014 City People Entertainment Awards and was nominated for Song of the Year at both The Headies 2014 and MTV Africa Music Awards 2014.

Released on May 1, 2014, the song received generally positive reviews from music critics. Positive remarks went towards its production, instrumentation and composition. On the contrary, the music video received mixed reviews. While some critics described the video as brilliant, others said it was dull and not up to par.

R.E.D is the second studio album by Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage. It was released on December 19, 2015, by Mavin Records and 323 Entertainment. The album features guest appearances from Don Jazzy, Olamide, Dr SID, Iceberg Slim, 2face Idibia, D'Prince, Busy Signal and Reekado Banks. It was primarily produced by Don Jazzy, along with additional production from Baby Fresh, Altims, Spellz and P2J. R.E.D was supported by the singles "My Darlin" and "Standing Ovation". Its deluxe edition was released in February 2016, and features collaborations with Wizkid and P-Square. R.E.D was nominated for Best Album at the 2016 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper. He gained initial recognition with his 2019 song "Dumebi". That same year, he signed with D'Prince's record label, Jonzing World. He achieved international recognition with his 2022 single "Calm Down", which spawned a remix with American singer Selena Gomez that peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also led Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart for a record-setting 58 weeks.

Siduction is the second studio album by Nigerian pop singer Dr Sid. It was released on 20 December 2013 by Mavin Records. The album features guest appearances from Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Ice Prince, Alexandra Burke, and Emma Nyra. It was primarily produced by Don Jazzy, along with additional production from Baby Fresh, Altims, and BlayzeBeats. The album was supported by the singles "Lady Don Dada", "Love Mine", "Talented", "Baby Tornado", "Baby Tornado (Remix)", "Surulere" and "Kilon Wa". Its deluxe edition was released on 23 December 2013, and features collaborations with Wizkid, Sarkodie, Phyno, E.L and Lynxxx. Three extra singles were released from the deluxe edition, the three being, "Afefe", "Chocolate " and "Surulere (Remix)".

Alexander Uwaifo known professionally as Andre Vibez is a Nigerian music producer and songwriter. He is best known for producing "Rush" from Ayra Starr's album 19 & Dangerous and Rema international hit single “Calm Down” which peaked at number one on the India IMI International chart and also peak no.3 on Billboard Hot 100. In September 2022, he was announced as one of the newly signed record producers of the Nigerian record label, Mavin Records.

Ugbekile David Osemeke, known professionally as Boy Spyce, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He gained recognition following his 2021 cover of Wizkid's song "Essence". Its success led him to sign a recording contract with Mavin Records, which released his debut extended play, self-titled Boy Spyce, in 2022 to modest commercial success.
