She double-majored in political science and communications, and served as student body president her senior year. In 2007,Kendrick graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. [2] Kendrick earned an MBA from Kennesaw State University in 2011. [3]

After Dash replied to Kendrick, telling her she was "Such a role model for young black women," there were allegations Kendrick deleted the message which turned out to be false. [5]
In March 2019,Kendrick introduced a bill that would, among other things, require Georgia men who wanted to obtain a prescription for Viagra to first obtain permission from their significant other, ban vasectomies in Georgia, and classify unprotected sex as aggravated assault. Kendrick acknowledged the bill has little chance of passing the Georgia House of Representatives, but stated that she introduced it to highlight what she considers the absurdity of HB 481,a bill passed by the Georgia State legislature in 2019 that, among other things, significantly limited the time frame and circumstances under which a woman could legally obtain an abortion in the state. Kendrick stated that she introduced her bill to "bring awareness to the fact that if you’re going to legislate our bodies, then we have every right to propose legislation to regulate yours.” [6] In July 2020,before any part of the bill came into effect,a federal court struck down HB 481 as unconstitutional. [7]
In October 2020,Kendrick faced ridicule after she appeared to confuse a remark made by President Trump during a presidential debate regarding “coyotes”. While the president was referring to the colloquial term for human traffickers,Kendrick seemingly confused the term with the animal, stating on Twitter,"How the hell does a coyote bring a whole human across the border?". A six-week abortion ban, also called a "fetal heartbeat bill" by proponents,is a law in the United States which makes abortion illegal as early as six weeks gestational age, which is when proponents claim that a "fetal heartbeat" can be detected. Medical and reproductive health experts, including the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, say that the reference to a fetal heartbeat is medically inaccurate and misleading, for a conceptus is not called a fetus until eight weeks after fertilization,as well as that at four weeks after fertilization, the embryo has no heart, only a group of cells which will become a heart. Medical professionals advise that a true fetal heartbeat cannot be detected until around 17 to 20 weeks of gestation when the chambers of the heart have become sufficiently developed.

The Georgia House Bill 481,formally named the Living Infants Fairness and Equality (LIFE) Act,is an American anti-abortion law passed in 2019 that sought to prevent physicians in the U.S. state of Georgia from performing abortions beyond six weeks, except in special situations. The bill was strongly criticized and, notably, many celebrities in Hollywood threatened to boycott the state of Georgia if it were passed. The Human Life Protection Act,also known as House Bill 314 and the Alabama abortion ban,is an Alabama statute enacted on May 15,2019,that imposes a near-total ban on abortion in the state. Originally set to go into effect in November 2019,a legal challenge against the bill delayed implementation until 2022. The bill was passed in both chambers of the Alabama Legislature in a party-line vote and signed by Republican governor Kay Ivey. Under the Human Life Protection Act,a doctor who performs a banned abortion in the state of Alabama is guilty of a Class A felony, and could be sentenced to life imprisonment. Several proposed amendments that would have allowed abortions in cases of rape and incest were rejected.
