David Hirlav (born 18 February 1991), also known as Tiger Nation, is an American-born German businessman and entrepreneur active in medical supply distribution, artificial intelligence (AI) systems integration, Human Augmentation, and Bioengineering, known for his leadership of Titanpoint, DHP Logistics, Naveta Distribution and the Titan Group. He previously competed in American Football in Germany and has appeared in media interviews discussing entrepreneurship and technology. [4] [5]
In 2026, Hirlav announced the launch of the YouTube channel Tiger Nation, featuring collaborations with entrepreneurs, influencers and public figures. The project is sponsored by the Titan Group. [6] [7]
David Hirlav was born on February 18, 1991, in the United States and was raised in Germany. His father is a former professional athlete who later entered the education sector, his mother is employed as a high school teacher. Hirlav attended the Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Germany. He later enrolled at the University of Bayreuth, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. [8]
In 2015, Hirlav qualified for the final round of the “Join the Best” initiative organized by MLP SE in Wiesloch. He placed within the top five percent of participants in the assessment center. [9] [10] [11]
Members of Hirlav's family have competed in winter sports at a professional level. His father competed professionally in cross-country skiing, and his paternal aunt, Magdalena Hirlav, also competed in cross-country skiing, participated in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1982 [12] [13] before later working as a coach in the sport.
During his youth, Hirlav competed in tennis at regional level in Hesse, including participation in the Bezirksoberliga Hessen. [14]
In 2011, at the age of 20, he began playing American football as a running back with the Bayreuth Dragons, competing with the team through the 2013 season. He subsequently joined the Grafenwöhr Griffins, transitioning to the linebacker position during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. [15]
In 2017, Hirlav joined the Bad Homburg Sentinels, where he competed through the 2020 season, advancing to the Regionalliga. [16]
In 2021, he played for the Frankfurt Pirates in the GFL 2. [17] His final competitive seasons took place in 2021 and 2022 with Frankfurt Universe in the GFL, the highest domestic level of American football in Germany. [18] [19]
Hirlav began studying Mandarin Chinese in 2011 during his first year at university. [20]
From 2014 to 2015, he lived and worked in China, based in Shanghai and the Zhejiang province. He worked in sales and project management roles in the import and export sector, supporting trade between Europe and Asia. During his time in China, he continued his Mandarin studies and became fluent in the language. [21]
In 2015, Hirlav founded Naveta Distribution, active in wholesale and cross-border distribution. The company began by exporting established European consumer brands, particularly products Made in Germany, to commercial clients in Asia, using its own warehouses for storage and distribution. [22] [23]
In 2019, the company was converted into a public limited company under the name Naveta Distribution AG. That year, the company introduced cryptocurrency as an official payment method for its customers. [24] [25]
After Naveta Distribution expanded into logistics and retail operations in 2020, Hirlav separated these divisions into independent companies, establishing DHP Logistics GmbH and Titanpoint GmbH. [26]
DHP Logistics GmbH provides third-party logistics services, including air freight, sea freight and just-in-time (JIT) deliveries, serving commercial clients such as hospitals and pharmacies. [27]
Titanpoint GmbH was established as an e-commerce and technology-oriented venture. The company commenced operations in January 2022 with the launch of an online marketplace and expanded into fulfillment services, warehouse automation and AI-integrated systems. Its business areas include health-related goods, nutritional supplements and pharmaceutical distribution. [28]
By 2024, the combined annual revenues of Hirlav's business activities exceeded €100 million. [29] The companies expanded primarily through reinvested operating profits.
In interviews, Hirlav said that limited investor access in Germany led him to finance expansion internally. He did not raise outside equity and retained ownership of the companies. [30]
Hirlav has expanded internationally and conducts business activities in Asia, including operations in Hanoi, Vietnam and Shanghai, China. [31] He has also established a European hub in the Netherlands.
In 2025, Hirlav expanded operations to the United States under the name Titan Group. The U.S.-based entity focuses on technology ventures, digital media projects and research initiatives. [32]
