History

A post office was established at Daylight in 1900, but was soon discontinued in 1903. [2]

Evansville Central High School, also known as Central High, is a public high school on the north side of Evansville, Indiana. It is the oldest high school in continuous operation west of the Allegheny Mountains. It was established in 1854 as Evansville High School. Burdette Park is a recreational facility in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. It is the only municipal park in Vanderburgh County not operated by the City of Evansville. Burdette Park provides a recreational and educational environment consisting of approximately 170 acres of wooded hills in Southwestern Indiana. Burdette Park boasts a wide variety of year-round recreational opportunities, including fishing, hiking, picnicking, and camping.
