Dent is an unincorporated community in Barbour County, West Virginia, United States.

Dent is a village and civil parish in Cumbria, England, and within the historic boundaries of the West Riding of Yorkshire. It lies in Dentdale, a narrow valley on the western slopes of the Pennines within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is 4 miles (6 km) south east of Sedbergh and about 8 miles (13 km) north east of Kirkby Lonsdale. At the 2011 census Dent was grouped with Middleton giving a total population of 785.

Boreman Hall is a residence hall on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. Originally called Men's Hall when it was constructed in 1935, the hall is named after Arthur I. Boreman, the first governor of the state of West Virginia.

The 1976 US Open was a tennis tournament that took place on the outdoor Har-Tru clay courts at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, Queens, in New York City, United States. The tournament ran from 30 August until 12 September. It was the 96th staging of the US Open, and the fourth Grand Slam tennis event of 1976. Dents Run Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge located near Laurel Point, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built in 1889, and spans Dents Run. The bridge is of Kingpost truss construction and measures 12 feet and 10 inches wide and 40 feet long. By 1981, it was one of only 17 covered bridges left in West Virginia.
