Belgaum is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka located in its northern part along the Western Ghats. It is the administrative headquarters of the eponymous Belgaum division and Belgaum district. The Government of Karnataka has proposed making Belgaum the second capital of Karnataka, hence a second state administrative building Suvarna Vidhana Soudha was inaugurated on 11 October 2012.
Bagalkote district, is an administrative district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The district headquarters is located in the town of Bagalkote. The district is located in northern Karnataka and borders Belagavi, Gadag, Koppal, Raichur and Vijayapura. The new Bagalkote district was carved out of Vijayapura in 1997 via Government of Karnataka directive Notification RD 42 LRD 87 Part III. Belagavi district, is a second most populous district after the Bengaluru urban district in the state of Karnataka, India. Kaladgi is a panchayat village in the Bagalkot Taluk, Bagalkot District of Karnataka State and is located about 25 km by road west of the town of Bagalkot. Kaladgi is well known for its fruit gardens.
Mahalingpur or Mahalingapura in Kannada is a town of Bagalkot district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Agriculture, weaving and jaggery production are the primary industries here. In the past, town was called as Naragatti. Later renamed as Mahalingpur after the gracious appearance of Lord Shri Mahalingeshwara. People speak typical Kannada, understand English and Hindi.
