Baila is a form of music, popular in Sri Lanka and among Goan Catholics in India. The genre originated centuries ago among the Portuguese Burghers and Sri Lankan Kaffirs. Baila songs are played during parties and weddings in Sri Lanka, Goa, and Mangalore accompanied by dancing.

Lankage is the first Sinhalese artist to be played on BBC Radio 1 and the creator of the first Sinhalese single to be played on MTV and channel V and Z music India. He is a graduate in Economics from Yale University.
Iraj Weeraratne is a Sinhalese R&B and hip hop artist, music producer,DJ and entrepreneur. Weeraratne had a television show on Derana TV called "Iraj Show". He is known as a prominent hip-hop and RnB artist in Sri Lanka. He was the first person to introduce Sinhala rap as well as Tamil rap to Sri Lanka in 2004.
TN-07 AL 4777 is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language drama thriller film directed by A. Lakshmikanthan. The film stars Ajmal Ameer, Pasupathy, Simran and Meenakshi. The film's soundtrack, composed by Vijay Antony was released on 12 December 2008. It is a remake of the 2006 Hindi film Taxi Number 9211 which in itself was an adaptation of the American film Changing Lanes (2002). Pooja Umashankar makes a special appearance in the film.

Dinesh Subasinghe is a Sri Lankan composer, violinist, and music producer. He composed Karuna Nadee, a Buddhist oratorio, and re-introduced a lost, ancient musical instrument known as the ravanahatha to Sri Lanka. He is also a film and television composer whose works integrate western and eastern classical music with electronic music, Buddhist music, folk music, traditional orchestral arrangements, and world music genres. From 2002 to 2009 he led the pop classical band, Dee R Cee Members.

The film features musical score composed by Harris Jayaraj, with lyrics written by Thamarai, Paal Dabba, Monica Perez Castillo and Aira. The soundtrack featured five songs with three of them—"Oru Manam", "His Name Is John" and "Naracha Mudi"—released as singles. The album was released by Sony Music India on 28 October 2023.
