Disneymania [1] [2] also known as "Disneymania 1" is the first album in the Disneymania series featuring various musical artists performing classic Disney songs. The original album, released on September 17, 2002, featured contemporary Disney classics. It was considered a commercial success, and achieved Gold certification from the RIAA in February 2003, despite peaking at 52nd place on the Billboard 200. Singles released from the album were "I Wanna Be Like You" by Smash Mouth, "Beauty and the Beast" by Jump5, and "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera.

Allmusic gave the album a rating of 3 out of 5 stars, noting "some of pop's biggest names have been handed over music from numerous Disney flicks (with most of the emphasis being on '80s and '90s fare), and then asked to give them totally new makeovers". It described the interpretations as "infusing a light trip-hop beat", "bouncy", "beeping electronics", "soulful", "pumping in beats", "a cappella", "'Footloose'-like spin, "understated", and "measured". Christina Aguilera is the debut studio album by American singer Christina Aguilera. It was released on August 24, 1999, by RCA Records. After recording "Reflection", the theme song for the 1998 Disney film Mulan, RCA laid the foundation for the album immediately and started presenting Aguilera with tracks for her debut album, which they originally decided would have a January 1999 release. Its music incorporates dance-pop and teen pop genres, with a few songs featuring strong elements from soul and contemporary R&B. "Colors of the Wind" is a song written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz for Walt Disney Pictures' 33rd animated feature film, Pocahontas (1995). The film's theme song, "Colors of the Wind" was originally recorded by American singer and actress Judy Kuhn in her role as the singing voice of Pocahontas. A pop ballad, the song's lyrics are about animism and respecting nature, finding its roots in indigenous Native American culture, perspectives which have later been adopted in both transcendentalist literature and New Age spirituality.

"All I Can Do" was released as a Radio Disney single, while the "Joyride" and "Forever in My Heart" singles were later released for both Christian contemporary hit radio (CHR) and adult contemporary radio. "Reflection" is a song written and produced by Matthew Wilder and David Zippel for the soundtrack of Disney's 1998 animated film Mulan. In the film, the song is performed by Tony Award winner, Filipina singer and actress Lea Salonga as Fa Mulan. An accompanying music video for "Reflection" was included as a bonus to the Disney Gold Classic Collection DVD release of the film in February 2000. Reflection has received highly positive reviews, with critics highlighting its emotional writing and Salonga's vocals.

The Very Best of Jump5 is a greatest hits compilation album by Christian pop group Jump5. It includes nine previous releases, including "Beauty and the Beast" which had previously only appeared on the first Disneymania album. It also contains three new songs, including a cover of Michael W. Smith's "Friends" from his album Change Your World. A limited edition version was also released, which included the "Jump5 Video Director" computer game. This was the last release by Jump5 while they were still signed to Sparrow Records. The Very Best of Jump5 charted at No. 30 upon the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.

The album became the lowest-peaking of the series, peaking at #191 on the Billboard 200.
