Dolmen is an action role-playing video game developed by Massive Work Studio. Prime Matter published it for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Windows in May 2022. It is a science fiction-themed Soulslike set on an alien planet.
Players are tasked with landing on an uncolonized planet and retrieving Dolmen crystals, which are used for space travel. While exploring, players discover it is inhabited by Lovecraftian monsters. [2] Dolmen is an action role-playing game played from a third-person perspective. [3] There are three character classes, each of whom have their own skill tree. During combat, players must time their attacks and defenses properly. When defeated, the player's character drops any crystals they were carrying. After respawning, players must return to where they died and collect the crystals. Dying again causes the crystals to become irretrievable. [2]
There were two crowdfunding campaigns for Dolmen in 2018. The first did not reach its goal, [4] but the second did. [5] Prime Matter released it for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Windows on May 20, 2022. [6]
Dolmen received mixed reviews on Metacritic. [7] [8] Shacknews called it "a solid sci-fi spin on the Soulslike formula", though they criticized the lack of a jumping mechanic and the cutscenes, which they felt were lower quality than the rest of the game. [2] Commenting on what they felt was poorly balanced gameplay, NME said it "misunderstands why Soulslike games are so enticing". [9] Gamepressure said it "looks great" but the gameplay fails to live up to its influences. [10]
Quake 4 is a 2005 first-person shooter video game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. Lifeless Planet is a 2014 puzzle adventure developed by independent American company Stage 2 Studios and published by Serenity Forge. The game was released on June 6, 2014 for Microsoft Windows and on June 23, 2014 for OS X, and has been ported to the Xbox One on May 13, 2015, Linux on March 25, 2016 and to the PlayStation 4 on July 19, 2016. Lifeless Planet was in development since 2011 and is primarily the product of the one developer, David Board.

Prodeus is a first-person shooter game developed by Bounding Box Software and published by Humble Games. The game was crowdfunded by a Kickstarter campaign in April 2019. An early access version was released on November 9, 2020. The full game was released on macOS, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in September 2022. A DLC was announced for the game in 2023.
Journey to the Savage Planet is a 2020 action-adventure game developed by Typhoon Studios and published by 505 Games. It was originally released for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2020, followed by a Nintendo Switch port on May 21, 2020. The player takes on the role of a nameless humanoid stranded on derelict space station Irid Novo, and must battle vicious creatures in order to solve the mystery behind the events that happened there. Irid Novo orbits a massive black hole; the station's position in relation to the black hole affects the strength of enemies. Versions for Stadia and Nintendo Switch were released in February 2021, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions released in July 2022.
