Duncan McMeekin

Duncan McMeekin (born 2 January 1955) is an independent Australian mediator and arbitrator [1] and a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland in the Trial Division. He was born in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea and was educated at Nudgee College and the University of Queensland, graduating in economics and law. [2] [3] He became a Queen's Counsel in 1998 and was appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2007, where he served until 2018.

Bruce Harvey McPherson, CBE, QC was a South African-born Australian jurist. Born in Melmoth, South Africa, he graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge in 1959, then moved to Brisbane, Australia in 1960. He was admitted to the Queensland Bar in 1965 and became Queen's Counsel in 1975, after marrying his second wife, Isobel Jacqueline Marie Milne. He was appointed to the Supreme Court of Queensland in January 1982 and then to the Court of Appeal on 16 December 1991, where he stayed until 22 September 2006.

Hugh Denis Macrossan was a politician and judge in Queensland, a State of Australia. He was elected as a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly, and was later to become a judge and also the Chief Justice of Queensland. He was the son of a prominent Queensland politician, and he was elected as a member of parliament. He served as a judge from 1926, until his appointment as chief justice in 1940 and his death later that year. He was the shortest serving chief justice in Queensland history, serving only one month, and was one of only two chief justices to have a brother and nephew served as chief justice.
