A King's Counsel is a senior lawyer appointed by the monarch of some Commonwealth realms as a "Counsel learned in the law". When the reigning monarch is a woman,the title is Queen's Counsel (QC).
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is the principal federal law enforcement agency of the Australian Government with the unique role of investigating crime and protecting the national security of the Commonwealth of Australia. The AFP is an independent agency of the Attorney-General's Department and is responsible to the Attorney-General and accountable to the Parliament of Australia. As of October 2019 the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police is Reece Kershaw,formerly the Northern Territory Police Commissioner.
The title of senior counsel or state counsel is given to a senior lawyer in some countries that were formerly part of the British Empire. "Senior Counsel" is used in current or former Commonwealth countries or jurisdictions that have chosen to change the title "King's Counsel" to a name without monarchical connotations,usually related to the British monarch that is no longer head of state,such that reference to the King is no longer appropriate. Examples of jurisdictions that have made the change because of the latter reason include Mauritius,Zambia,India,Hong Kong,Ireland,South Africa,Kenya,Malawi,Singapore,Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. Jurisdictions that have retained the monarch as head of state,but have nonetheless opted for the new title include some states and territories of Australia,as well as Belize.

Catherine Ena"Cate" Holmes is a retired Australian jurist who served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland,the highest ranking court in the Australian state of Queensland. She was appointed to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2000,to the Queensland Court of Appeal in 2006 and appointed chief justice on 11 September 2015. She retired on 19 March 2022.
Murray Byron Kellam was formerly a judge of the County Court of Victoria in Australia before being appointed as a judge on 28 January 1998 to the Supreme Court of Victoria,the highest ranking court in the Australian State of Victoria. He was also the first President of VCAT. On 16 May 2007 Kellam was appointed a judge of Appeal. He retired from the Supreme Court on 15 June 2009. Kellam also served as a member of the Supreme Court of Samoa. He was appointed an Acting Judge of the Supreme Court of the ACT on 8 March 2017.

Shane Drumgold SC is an Australian Barrister,Associate Professor of law,and was the Australian Capital Territory's fifth Director of Public Prosecutions. He was appointed to this role on 1 January 2019 by the Attorney General Gordon Ramsay,succeeding Jon White SC,and resigned from the role on 6 August 2023,and is currently a Senior Counsel at Frederick Jordan Chambers in Sydney Australia.
Bruce Lehrmann is an Australian former political staffer,who is primarily known for his involvement in the 2021 Australian Parliament House sexual misconduct allegations. He grew up in Toowoomba and moved to Canberra for study in 2013 when he started working as a staffer.
