Dynamite 250 featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. [3] Storylines are produced on AEW's weekly television programs, Dynamite, Rampage and Collision.
In the opening match, Will Ospreay defended his AEW International Championship against MJF. The entire match was back and forth, both men worked on body parts of one another as well as going into the stands and exchanging back and forth forearm shots. After wrestling for almost an hour, with 30 seconds left on the one hour time limit, MJF shoved Ospreay into the referee, causing him to be knocked down, MJF then got his Dynamite Diamond Ring and hit Ospreay with it and pinned him for the win and to become the new AEW International Champion with two seconds remaining on the clock. [4]
After that, The Acclaimed were backstage with Mark Briscoe. Swerve Strickland then joined them and issued a warning to their Blood & Guts opponents. [4]
Up next, Chris Jericho presented TV Time with Chris Jericho but Minoru Suzuki confronted him with a piece of paper demanding a match for his FTW Championship at Blood & Guts the week after. Suzuki then headbutted Jericho leaving Big Bill and Bryan Keith stunned and then Suzuki sarcastically waived at them. [4]
Backstage, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks and AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada were backstage and warned their upcoming oponents at Blood & Guts. Mercedes Moné walked past and thanked The Young Bucks for banning Britt Baker backstage and proceeded to dance with them. [4]
In the penultimate match, Mercedes Moné defended her AEW TBS Championship against Nyla Rose. In the end, Moné applied the Statement Maker on Rose who tapped out giving Moné the win and retaining her title. After the match a fan with a Sting mask had Britt Baker sign but Moné ripped it up. The fan then attacked Moné but it was revealed to be Baker. A wall of security then seperated them as they tried to attack each other. [4]
Next, "Timeless" Toni Storm came out with her back to the camera but it was actually Mariah May impersonating her. Mariah then said that her greatest performance will be at All In and that All Elite Wrestling was all about Mariah. [4]
In the main event, it was a Champion vs. champion match as AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland faced off against AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada. In the end, The Young Bucks attacked Strickland causing Strickland to win via disqualification. [4]
After the match a brawl erupted between Team AEW and Team Elite. Darby Allin then descended from the rafters, confirming him as the final member of Team AEW, and aided Team AEW with their brawl against Team Elite on the ramp. [4]
