Eddy Joseph (born on 5 June 1945) is a British sound engineer. [1]
He was born in 1945, the son of a film producer Edward Joseph and was educated at Abingdon School from 1957 until 1962. [2]
Eddy began work with Baker and Todman Accountants [2] before joining the film industry in 1967 and became a sound editor in 1981. [3]
In 1982 he won the BAFTA award for Best Sound, for Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'. In 2006 he repeated the earlier success by winning the BAFTA award for Best Sound once again, this time for Casino Royale. [4] [5]
He has received a further six BAFTA nominations
In addition he has also received 16 MPSE Motion Picture Sound Editors of America nominations.

Nominations for this award are closely correlated with the Academy Award for Best Picture. For 33 consecutive years, 1981 to 2013, every Best Picture winner had also been nominated for the Film Editing Oscar, and about two thirds of the Best Picture winners have also won for Film Editing. Smith is best known for his work on several of Christopher Nolan's films, including Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), Inception (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Interstellar (2014) and Dunkirk (2017), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing.
Arthur Robert Schmidt was an American film editor with about 27 film credits between 1977 and 2005. Schmidt had an extended collaboration with director Robert Zemeckis from the Back to the Future film trilogy (1985–1990) to Cast Away (2000).
Joe Hutshing is an American film editor who grew up in San Diego, California and is best known for working multiple times with film director, Oliver Stone and well as with film director Cameron Crowe. Hutshing graduated from the University of Oregon in 1980.
Anne Voase Coates was a British film editor with a more than 60-year-long career. She was perhaps best known as the editor of David Lean's epic film Lawrence of Arabia in 1962, for which she won an Oscar. Coates was nominated five times for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for the films Lawrence of Arabia, Becket (1963), The Elephant Man (1980), In the Line of Fire (1993) and Out of Sight (1998). In an industry where women accounted for only 16 per cent of all editors working on the top 250 films of 2004, and 80 per cent of the films had absolutely no women on their editing teams at all, Coates thrived as a top film editor. She was awarded BAFTA's highest honour, a BAFTA Fellowship, in February 2007 and was given an Academy Honorary Award, which are popularly known as a Lifetime Achievement Oscar, in November 2016 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Craig McKay is an American feature film editor, story consultant, director, and executive producer. Recognized with two Academy Award nominations for editing Reds and The Silence of the Lambs, and an Emmy Award for editing the NBC miniseries Holocaust, he has edited more than forty films including Philadelphia, The Manchurian Candidate, Cop Land and Maid in Manhattan.
Peter Zinner was an Austrian-American film editor. Following nearly fifteen years of uncredited work as an assistant sound editor, Zinner received credits on more than fifty films from 1959 to 2006. His most influential films are likely The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, both of which appear on a 2012 listing of the 75 best edited films of all time compiled by the Motion Picture Editors Guild.

He and fellow film editor Kirk Baxter won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for the David Fincher film The Social Network (2010) and again the next year for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011). He and Baxter were nominated the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, and the American Cinema Editors Eddie Award for the 2008 film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, also directed by David Fincher. Wall's title design work on the HBO television series Carnivàle and Game of Thrones both received Emmy Awards in 2004 and 2011, respectively, and his work on the series Rome's titles was nominated for the BAFTA Award in 2005.

He won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series for the pilot episode of Boardwalk Empire (2010). Earlier, his work on The Sopranos (1999–2007) earned him three Emmy nominations and two ACE Eddie Awards.
George Watters II is an American retired sound editor with more than 80 feature film credits. He has won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing twice, for The Hunt for Red October (1990) and for Pearl Harbor (2001).
Cecelia Hall is an Oscar winning sound designer and sound editor. She was the first woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Sound Effects Editing for Top Gun and went on to win the Oscar for The Hunt for Red October, a film for which she also received a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Sound at the 44th British Academy Film Awards.
John Leveque is a sound editor. He has won two BAFTAs for sound and has been nominated by the Motion Picture Sound Editors for sound.
