"Eez-eh" (stylised as "eez-eh") is a song by English rock band Kasabian from their fifth studio album, 48:13 . The song was released as the lead single to promote the album [2] on 29 April 2014.
The single embraces a slight change in style for Kasabian, with the track resembling electronic dance music – more so than their previous work. In an interview, Sergio Pizzorno revealed that the song's production was inspired by Giorgio Moroder, who had said 120BPM was a 'magic tempo'. [3] The song title is derived from the pronunciation of the word 'easy' in a Leicester accent. Frontman Tom Meighan described the song as a "working class anthem" and said he would like the song to have the same effect on people as "Born Slippy", a well-known 1996 number two single by electronic group Underworld. [4]
Commenting on the song's lyrics – which include lines such as "I've got the feeling that I'm gonna keep you up all night – Pizzorno said: "It's more a conversation that me and Tom [Meighan] might have at five or six in the morning. There have been so many nights in hotel rooms where me and Tom will stay up all night talking and it's about that." [5]
The lyric "Every one's on bugle/Now we're being watched by Google" is often edited on some versions, such as the official music video and radio edit because 'bugle' is a slang term for cocaine; it is replaced with the previous line "Every day is brutal".
The group performed "Eez-eh" along with two other tracks from 48:13 – "Bumblebeee" and "Stevie" – on Later... with Jools Holland on 13 May 2014. [6] After being released in April throughout Europe and in Australia, the single was released in the United Kingdom on 1 June 2014. [7] A second version of the single, containing the B-side "Beanz", was released digitally on 3 June 2014. [8] The band also performed the single on The Graham Norton Show on 13 June 2014. [9] The band also performed the track at Glastonbury Festival 2014. Live performances of the track are usually extended.
According to NME magazine, the song is "pure '90s rave." [10] Rhian Daly also noted that the track is "far from being a serious take on the world's issues," and Kasabian keeps things "tongue-in-cheek, cartoon-like and – most importantly – fun." [5] Antiquiet.com described the song as "without a doubt the most electronic-tinged release since the band's breakthrough self-titled first album." [11]
A music video for the song was released onto YouTube on 29 April 2014. It was directed by Aitor Throup, who also designs sets for live shows and artwork. [12] The video features Swedish actress Noomi Rapace. [13]
The video features the band dancing and posing in front of a large karaoke screen showing the lyrics of the song. Segments of the video see the members jumping up and down in a line, ornaments of various animals and frontman Tom Meighan spitting milk into the lens of the camera. Sergio Pizzorno appears both wearing a '48:13' T-shirt and without a shirt, often also wearing large foam hands. [14] Bassist Chris Edwards also appears, at one stage wearing a Groucho Marx disguise and smoking a cigar, and drummer Ian Matthews appears, wearing a snapback with pipes connected to his mouth.

"L.S.F." is the second single released by the British rock group Kasabian. It was the band's first UK Top 10 hit, peaking at No. 10 and staying in the Top 75 for five weeks. The song also charted in the United States, peaking at No. 32 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.
Kasabian are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and second vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. Meighan left the band in July 2020, with Pizzorno stepping up as full-time lead vocalist.
Empire is the second album by British rock band Kasabian, released in August 2006. The album went on to No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart upon its release and was preceded by the release of new single "Empire" on 24 July 2006.
"Club Foot" is a song by English indie rock band Kasabian, featured on their 2004 debut album, Kasabian. It was released on 10 May 2004 in the UK. The video of this song, directed by W.I.Z., is dedicated to Czech student Jan Palach who in 1969 set himself on fire in protest against renewed Soviet suppression of Czechoslovakia. The video also refers to the Soviet government's intervention in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 on a banner showing the text in Hungarian, which translates as "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty". The scene with the inspector girl who stands before the tank harks back to the young man who stood in front of the line of tanks in 1989 in Tiananmen Square, which itself has become an icon for resistance.

Sergio Lorenzo "Serge" Pizzorno is a British guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known for his work with the rock band Kasabian. He is Kasabian's primary songwriter since the departure of co-composer Christopher Karloff in 2006, and also the band's co-lead singer, and later being the sole lead singer following the 2020 sacking of Tom Meighan. He is also a member of Loose Tapestries alongside Noel Fielding and fellow Kasabian member Tim Carter, a group put together to produce music for Fielding's TV series Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy.

West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum is the third studio album by British indie rock band Kasabian, which was released on 5 June 2009. It was the band's first album not to feature Christopher Karloff, the band's lead guitarist and songwriter who departed during the writing stages of Empire (2006). Rhythm guitarist Sergio Pizzorno became lead songwriter and co-producer for the band. It is also their first album to feature guitar contributions from Tim Carter, who would become the band's touring guitarist in 2013 and a full-fledged member of the band in 2021.

Noomi Rapace is a Swedish actress. She achieved international fame with her portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish film adaptations of the Millennium series (2009): The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. For her performance in the Millennium series, Rapace won amongst others two Nymphe d'Ors, a Guldbagge Award, and a Satellite Award as Best Actress, and was nominated for a BAFTA Award, an International Emmy Award and a European Film Award. Following the success of the Millennium series, Rapace has gone on to star in American movies.

It is Kasabian's first album in five years, following For Crying Out Loud (2017), and first to feature Serge Pizzorno as a sole lead vocalist after former frontman Tom Meighan was fired in 2020 amid his domestic assault conviction. It is also their first album to feature guitarist Tim Carter as a permanent member, who contributed to all of the band's albums since West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum in 2009, and joined the band in 2013 as a touring guitarist.
