Elle, lui et l'autre.... is the ninth studio album by Egyptian-French vocalist Dalida. [1] It was released in 1960. It was her second released exclusively to the Canadian public.

History

In the two years prior to the release, Dalida released twelve songs, among which are her international hits "T'aimer follement", "Romantica", "Itsi bitsi petit bikini", "O sole mio" and "Les enfants du Pirée".

The album yielded the successful song "Elle lui et l'autre", which topped Canadian charts, and "Bras dessus, bras dessous," which became the theme song of the eponymous Canadian TV show. [2]

Les enfants du Pirée is a number one song by Dalida which was an international summer hit. It is also the title song of her first released album in the 1960s. The song won an award in Québec for 'best foreign song of 1960', shared with the version of Gloria Lasso. It comes from the movie "Never on Sunday/Pote tin Kyriaki" nominated for 8 Oscars and won an Oscar for the music of Manos Hadjidakis, sung by Melina Mercouri who starred in the movie along Jules Dassin.

"Why" is a hit song recorded by Frankie Avalon in 1959 that went to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart published on the week of December 28, 1959, for the week ending of January 2, 1960, making it the last No. 1 single of the 1950s, and the first No. 1 single of the 1960s at the same time. It also became the first No. 1 single of the 1960s on the Cashbox magazine charts. The song was written by Avalon's manager and record producer Robert "Bob" Marcucci and Peter De Angelis. Tournée Européenne 2013 was the tenth concert tour by Canadian singer Celine Dion. The tour was organized to support the highly successful French language album Sans attendre, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide.
