The Embassy of Indonesia, Warsaw (Polish : Ambasada Indonezji w Warszawie; Indonesian : Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia di Warsawa) is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Poland. [1] The current ambassador is Anita Lidya Luhulima who was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 17 November 2021. [2]

History

Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Poland started in 1955. Until 12 May 1960, the Indonesian embassy in Prague, Czechoslovakia was accredited to Poland. Then until 18 November 1960, the Indonesian embassy in Moscow, Soviet Union was accredited to Poland. In the same year, a diplomatic mission was established in Warsaw.

The office of the mission was first located in Bristol Hotel at 42/44 Krakowskie Przedmieście. [3] After a year at the hotel, the diplomatic mission moved several times, including to 14 Niegolewskiego (1962 [4] –1978 [5] ) and to a villa that was designed by Lucjan Korngold. Then the offices moved to 9 Wąchocka (1979 [6] –2001), which is now the official residence of the ambassador called Wisma Duta, then to 8 Zakopiańska 8 (2001), and finally to its current location at 3/5 Estońskiej.

Indonesia and Poland established diplomatic relations in 1955. Indonesia has an embassy in Warsaw, while Poland has an embassy in Jakarta. Other than similar red-and-white flags, Indonesia and Poland share a similar course of history through enduring revolutions, wars for independence and maintaining national unity. Both nations have agreed to expand bilateral relations in trade, culture and education sectors, through programs such as staging art exhibitions to proposing student exchange programs and provide scholarships.

Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Colombia were established on 15 September 1980. Initially, the Indonesian embassy in Brasilia, Brazil was accredited to Colombia. This continued until the Indonesian embassy in Bogotá was inaugurated after the arrival of the first Indonesian ambassador to Colombia, Trenggono, on 26 May 1989. The current ambassador is Tatang Budie Utama Razak who was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 25 October 2021.

The Szczecin Voivodeship was a voivodeship (province) with capital in Szczecin, that was centered on the Farther Pomerania. It existed from 1946 to 1975. Until 19 February 1947 it was under the administration of Provisional Government of National Unity, which then was replaced by the Polish People's Republic. It was established on 28 June 1946, when it was formed from the territory of the District of the Western Pomerania, and parts of the Gdańsk, and Pomeranian Voivodeships. The Gdańsk Voivodeship was a voivodeship (province) with capital in Gdańsk, that was located in the region of Pomerelia. It existed from 1945 to 1975. Until 28 June 1945, it remained under the administration of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Poland, which then was replaced by the Provisional Government of National Unity. On, 19 February 1947, the provisional government was replaced by the Polish People's Republic. It was established on 7 April 1945, from the parts of the territories of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the Masurian District, Poland. The voivodeship ceased to exist on 31 May 1975, when it was partitioned by then-established voivodeships of Elbląg, Gdańsk, and Słupsk.
