The Republic of Indonesia , the world's fourth most populous country, holds significant diplomatic weight in Southeast Asia (as the seat of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations), the Non-Aligned Movement, and within the Islamic world as the most populous Muslim majority country. As such, it possesses a vast network of embassies, consulates, and permanent missions to international organizations.
Excluded from this listing are honorary consulates and trade missions, with the exception of the economic and trade office in Taipei, which serves as its de facto embassy to Taiwan.

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Washington, D.C. is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States. It is located at 2020 Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the Embassy Row neighborhood. Indonesia has five consulate generals in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco, and an honorary consulate in Honolulu. There is also a permanent mission to the United Nations in New York.
Chilman Arisman is an Indonesian diplomat. Since 1 February 2017, he was appointed as Senior Official in the Directorate for ASEAN Political Security Cooperation, Ministry Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Before stepping in his current position, he was Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, from October 2012 –January 2017.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bogotá is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Colombia and concurrently accredited to Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados and the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis. Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Colombia were established on 15 September 1980. Initially, the Indonesian embassy in Brasilia, Brazil was accredited to Colombia. This continued until the Indonesian embassy in Bogotá was inaugurated after the arrival of the first Indonesian ambassador to Colombia, Trenggono, on 26 May 1989. The current ambassador is Tatang Budie Utama Razak who was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 25 October 2021.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Pretoria is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of South Africa and concurrently accredited to the Republic of Botswana, the Kingdom of Eswatini, and the Kingdom of Lesotho. The embassy is located at 949 Francis Baard Street in the suburb of Arcadia, Pretoria. Indonesia also has a consulate general in Cape Town and an honorary consulate in Mbabane, Eswatini.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the People's Republic of China. The embassy is concurrently accredited to Mongolia. Indonesia also has three consulate generals in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, dan Shanghai. The first Indonesian ambassador to China was Arnold Mononutu (1953–1955). The current ambassador, Djauhari Oratmangun, was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 20 February 2018.

The embassy is concurrently accredited to the Principality of Liechtenstein. The permanent mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations, World Trade Organization and Other International Organizations is located in Geneva. The first Indonesian ambassador to Switzerland was Alfian Yusuf Helmi (1952–1955). The current ambassador, Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad, was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 20 February 2018.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bucharest is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to Romania and is concurrently accredited to the Republic of Moldova. The first Indonesian ambassador to Romania was Soekrisno (1961–1965). The current ambassador, Muhammad Amhar Azeth, was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 20 February 2018.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Berlin is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition to the embassy, Indonesia has two consulate generals in Frankfurt and Hamburg.
