"Emiliana" peaked at number one for 7 consecutive weeks on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart. [3] On 6 December 2021, it was named song of the day by The Native , [4] and debuted at number forty-four on TurnTable Top 50 on 13 December. [5] On 16 December, it peaked at number forty-one on TurnTable Top 50 streaming songs chart. [6] On 24 December, it peaked at number thirty-nine on TurnTable Top 50 Airplay chart. [7]

"Love Nwantiti" is a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter CKay, released in 2019 as the second track from his second extended play Ckay the First by Chocolate City through Warner Music Group. A remix of the song titled "Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)" featuring Nigerian singer Joeboy and Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene, released as a single in 2020, became a commercial success in Nigeria, Middle East, North Africa and in many European club venues, as well as the subject of collaborations with few local artists for localised variations. The French version included vocals by French rapper Franglish.

Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, known professionally as Ayra Starr, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. She began a fashion career at the age of 16 with Quove Model Management before deciding to pursue a career in music. After covering several songs by popular artists on Instagram, she posted her first original song on her page in December 2019. This brought her to the attention of record executive Don Jazzy, who signed her to his record label Mavin Records.

He was formerly signed to Chocolate City, a member of Warner Music Group independent label services ADA. His international hit single "Love Nwantiti", also known as "Love Nwantiti ", was released in 2019 by Chocolate City. On 29 March 2022, the song debuted at number one, following the launch of the Billboard Afrobeats chart. On 9 May 2022, it became the first-ever African song to surpass one billion streams on Spotify and has since been deemed "the biggest hit in African history".

"Damages" is a song by Nigerian singer and record producer Tems. It was released on 17 September 2020. Written by Tems and produced by Spax, the song is the only single from Tems's first EP For Broken Ears, which was released on 25 September 2020.

"Peru" was written by Fireboy DML, Ivory Scott, & Kolten Perine and produced by Shizzi & Perine. On 23 December 2021, a reworked version of "Peru" was released, in collaboration with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. The music video for the version with Sheeran was released on 24 December 2021. An additional remix, featuring rappers 21 Savage and Blxst was also later released. The song was nominated at the 7th annual African Entertainment Awards USA for Song of the Year. The song is not about the country of Peru, but rather a reference to Nigerian singer Peruzzi; the government of Peru nonetheless reacted positively to the song on Twitter.

During its debut week, the record gained popularity across TikTok in Europe and America, with the #FolakeChallenge hashtag.

"Love Don't Cost a Dime" is a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter Magixx, from his eponymous debut EP Magixx. It was officially released as a single on 24 September 2021 by Mavin Records. The song was written by Magixx, and produced by Lomon. A new version of the song titled "Love Don't Cost a Dime (Re-Up)" featuring Nigerian singer Ayra Starr was released as a single in 2022.

"Last Last" is a song by Nigerian singer Burna Boy. It was released through Atlantic Records on 13 May 2022 as the first single from his sixth studio album, Love, Damini. The song samples American singer Toni Braxton's 2000 single "He Wasn't Man Enough", for which its writers LaShawn Daniels, Harvey Mason Jr., and brothers Fred Jerkins III and Darkchild are credited on "Last Last". Burna Boy co-wrote the song with producers Off & Out, Chopstix, MdS, and Ruuben. Burna Boy notably performed the song at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards two days after its release.

PALAZZO earned SPINALL his third UK Afrobeats Singles Chart entry at number 6, and earned Asake third entry on the chart. It also earned SPINALL his first entry on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs at number 6, and earned Asake, his third entry on the chart. A remix along with Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello was released on 9 December 2022 with new verses from Cabello.

Sad Romance is the debut studio album by Nigerian singer CKay. It was released by Warner Music Africa on 23 September 2022. The album features guest appearances from Ayra Starr, Davido, Focalistic, Abidoza, Mayra Andrade, and Ronisia, and was executive produced by CKay. Following the release of the album CKay embarked on the Sad Romance North America Tour (2022).
