Emo is a genus of aplacophoran mollusc known from the Homerian Coalbrookdale Formation of England. It contains one species, Emo vorticaudum. [1] This genus is likely related to Acaenoplax on account of the combination of valves and spicules, alongside the lack of a foot.
Emo lacks a foot, similar to modern aplacophorans (and different to its apparent relative Punk ). Its body is weakly dorsoventrally compressed with a fold near the midpoint. Its body consists of four regions, the first being a short head with two small valves. These valves are suboval with a seeming lack of ornamentation except for a growth line, alongside flanking a median ridge. A raised region in the middle of this head's ventral side with a faint hollow is interpreted as the mouth. The second body region of Emo consists of a wider neck with a dorsal hump and no apparent separation between the dorsal and ventral regions of the animal. The main body (region 3) bears "lateral rolls" separating the dorsal and ventral surfaces, alongside sharing the presence of long spicules with the neck. The scleritome has a gap towards the anterior, for unknown reasons, alongside four posterior spines in different directions to the rest. The final body region is a tail, subcircular in cross-section, which bears a rotationally twisted spine array alongside poorly preserved protuberances interpreted as gills. [1]
The genus name Emo derives from "the emo musical genre related to punk rock, whose exponents canonically bear long 'bangs' or fringes, of which the scleritome is reminiscent, as well as studded clothing recalling the anterior valves". The specific name vorticaudum derives from the Latin words "vortex" (whirl) and "cauda" (tail), in reference to the rotational twisting of the tail spines. [1]

Huabeisaurus was a genus of dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous. It was a sauropod which lived in what is present-day northern China. The type species, Huabeisaurus allocotus, was first described by Pang Qiqing and Cheng Zhengwu in 2000. Huabeisaurus is known from numerous remains found in the 1990s, which include teeth, partial limbs and vertebrae. Due to its relative completeness, Huabeisaurus represents a significant taxon for understanding sauropod evolution in Asia. Huabeisaurus comes from Kangdailiang and Houyu, Zhaojiagou Town, Tianzhen County, Shanxi province, China. The holotype was found in the unnamed upper member of the Huiquanpu Formation, which is Late Cretaceous (?Cenomanian–?Campanian) in age based on ostracods, charophytes, and fission-track dating.
Helmetia is an extinct genus of concilitergan artiopod from the middle Cambrian. Its fossils have been found in the Burgess Shale of Canada and the Jince Formation of the Czech Republic.
Radiodonta is an extinct order of stem-group arthropods that was successful worldwide during the Cambrian period. Radiodonts are distinguished by their distinctive frontal appendages, which are morphologically diverse and were used for a variety of functions. Radiodonts were among the earliest large predators, but they also included sediment sifters and filter feeders. Some of the most famous species of radiodonts are the Cambrian taxa Anomalocaris canadensis, Hurdia victoria, Peytoia nathorsti, Titanokorys gainesi, Cambroraster falcatus and Amplectobelua symbrachiata. The later surviving members include the subfamily Aegirocassisinae from the Early Ordovician of Morocco and the Early Devonian member Schinderhannes bartelsi from Germany.
Hupehsuchia is an order of diapsid reptiles closely related to ichthyosaurs. The group was short-lasting, with a temporal range restricted to the late Olenekian age, spanning only a few million years of the Early Triassic. The order gets its name from Hubei Province, China, from which many specimens have been found. They are probable members of the clade Ichthyosauromorpha.

Thanahita is a genus of extinct lobopodian and known from the middle Silurian Herefordshire Lagerstätte at the England–Wales border in UK. It is monotypic and contains one species, Thanahita distos. Discovered in 2018, it is estimated to have lived around 430 million years ago and is the first Silurian lobopodian known worldwide.
Hallucigeniidae is a family of extinct worms belonging to the group Lobopodia that originated during the Cambrian explosion. It is based on the species Hallucigenia sparsa, the fossil of which was discovered by Charles Doolittle Walcott in 1911 from the Burgess Shale of British Columbia. The name Hallucigenia was created by Simon Conway Morris in 1977, from which the family was erected after discoveries of other hallucigeniid worms from other parts of the world. Classification of these lobopods and their relatives are still controversial, and the family consists of at least four genera.
Punk ferox is a species of aplacophoran mollusc known from the Homerian Coalbrookdale Formation of England. It is the only species within the genus Punk.
