Eric Christian Newman (born August 27, 1972) is an American baseball coach and former pitcher. He is the head baseball coach of the UC San Diego Tritons. Newman played college baseball at Fresno State before transferring to Texas Tech in 1994 and in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for seven seasons from 1995 to 2002. He then served as the head coach of the Dallas Baptist Patriots (2005–2007). He is the older brother of Andy Newman.
Newman began to coach following the conclusion of his playing career. He joined the Dallas Baptist Patriots, under head coach Mike Bard as the team's pitching coach. During Newman's second season with the team, the ascended to NCAA Division I. In the fall of 2004, Newman was elevated to head coach of the Patriots. Newman lead the Patriots to a 95–72 record in his three years as head coach. [1] On July 2, 2007, Newman was named the pitching coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. [2] On August 17, 2011, Newman was named the pitching coach at Cal State Northridge. [3] Just 12 days later, Newman was named the head baseball coach of the UC San Diego Tritons.

Jason Roger Anderson is an American former professional baseball pitcher and current college baseball coach. He is currently serving as head coach of the Eastern Illinois Panthers baseball team.

The Dallas Baptist Patriots baseball team represents Dallas Baptist University, which is located in Dallas, Texas. The Patriots are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in Conference USA. They began competing in Division I in 2004 and joined the Missouri Valley Conference in 2014 after only one season with the Western Athletic Conference. They are the only Dallas Baptist program in Division I and Conference USA. All other Dallas Baptist programs compete in Division II's Lone Star Conference. DBU is also the only D-II member that competes in D-I baseball.
Jason William Krizan is an American former professional baseball left fielder. He played college baseball at Dallas Baptist University, where Krizan was named a First-Team All-American in his senior season. The Detroit Tigers drafted Krizan in the eighth round of the 2011 MLB draft. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants. He is currently the hitting coach for the Winston-Salem Dash, the High-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
Shawn Stiffler is an American college baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He played college baseball for the George Mason Patriots from 1998 to 2001 under head coach Bill Brown. Stiffler had been a part of the Rams baseball program since 2007, where he spent the first 5 seasons as an assistant to Paul Keyes.
Eric Matthew Valenzuela in an American baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Saint Mary’s. He played college baseball at Arizona State in 1997 before transferring to Pepperdine where he played from 1999 to 2001. He then served as the head coach of the Saint Mary’s (2014–2019).

The 2014 NCAA Division II baseball tournament decided the baseball champion of the NCAA Division II level for the 2014 season. The Screaming Eagles of the University of Southern Indiana won their second national championship as led by head coach Tracy Archuleta. The Screaming Eagles defeated the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University in the national championship. Southern Indiana pitcher Matt Chavarria was named most outstanding player of the tournament.

The 2020–21 UC San Diego Tritons men's basketball team represented the University of California, San Diego in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tritons, led by 8th-year head coach Eric Olen, were in their first season at the NCAA Division I level and played their games at RIMAC Arena as a member of the Big West Conference. Because of the transition period, games in the Big West did not count towards the standings or conference record, and the Tritons were ineligible for the postseason, including the Big West tournament.
