So far, two European Scout Jamborees have been held as a dress rehearsal for the World Scout Jamborees to be held one or two years later at the same site, each with about 10,000 participants:
The first European Scout Jamboree was an initiative of the Dutch World Jamboree Organizing Committee. When Scouting Nederland won the bid of the 18th World Scout Jamboree, it was decided to organize a big event a year earlier, as a test run for such a big event. It was located in Biddinghuizen, on the same site as the 1995 World Jamboree. Its theme was Join the Stars.[1]
The European Scout Jamboree 2005 (EuroJam 2005) was held in summer 2005 and lasted for 12 days between July 29 and August 10, in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex, near Gilwell Park, an important campsite and training center for Scout Leaders. About 10,000 Scouts from 67 countries were involved; it was considered the biggest Scout gathering in Europe for over 10 years and 50 years in the United Kingdom. It was also a dry run allowing the organization team of the 21st World Scout Jamboree to test a number of aspects of the upcoming event. traffic issues, necessary infrastructures and logistics.
The event was made for Scouts and Guides aged 15–18 in summer 2005 from Europe and beyond.
There were five main groups of people at EuroJam. The different border colors of their official EuroJam scarves identified them.
Participants used yellow border.
Troop/Unit used green border.
International Service Team (IST) used medium-blue border.
Contingent, National and Regional Staff used navy-blue border.
Jamboree Organizing Team (JOT) used purple border.
Sub-camps were "Home" areas for the duration of EuroJam. There were 8 sub-camps for participants, named after rivers and mountains in Europe. They were separated by "Hubs", Mountain Hub and River Hub.
The Plaza was the central area of the campsite, located in front of Hylands House. The Plaza was the location for all services that the participants needed during EuroJam. The Plaza included shops, cafés, an internet café, payphone, the EuroJam radio station and areas for the "Evening Programme"
The program was a wide range of activities on the main site and three off-site locations.
EuroVille was packed full of activities ranging from sports to music, from culture to technology, and from creativity to global development. There were five EuroVilles around the site, named after seas in Europe, Adriatic Sea, Baltic Sea, Irish Sea, Mediterranean Sea, and North Sea. EuroVille activities were specially created by Scouts and Guides from across Europe for EuroJam.
Global Development Village gave the participants the chance to learn how to change the world for good – through hands-on activities run by some of the organisations already doing so.
Choice Time provided participants with areas around the EuroJam campsite to meet new friends, and try out a range of walk-in activities. Participants could also explore other Programme areas as:
Energise: Challenges and activities, covering topics such as survival, teamwork, relaxation and a full-size circus.
Global Development Boulevard: A special exhibition area with display and drop-in activities for anyone to visit. Some of the tents had displays by organisations such as Oxfam to give the participants information of global issues, and other tent
Faith and Beliefs Zone: A place set aside for participants to explore aspects of faith and beliefs. Represented religions were Buddhism, Islam, Catholicism, Anglicanism.
Touring the SubCamps were five specially-modified double-decker London Buses. Each GloBus had a different theme to introduce participants to topics affecting the world today.
In summer 2018 ZHP organized the Polish National Scout Jamboree, which was considered as a preparational event for the European Jamboree.[citation needed] By August 2019, the estimated attendance level was raised to 30,000 participants (youth and adult).[7]
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was initially postponed in April 2020 to summer of 2021,[8] before being cancelled in November 2020.[9]

The World Organization of the Scout Movement is the largest and, after the Order of World Scouts, is the second-oldest international scout organization, having been established in 1922. It has 176 members. These members are national scout organizations that founded WOSM or have subsequently been recognised by WOSM, which collectively have around 43 million participants. Its operational headquarters is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia while it is legally based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The CES is a split-off from the Fédération du Scoutisme Européen (FSE) later renamed to the Union Internationale des Guides et Scouts d'Europe; it left after controversies about the importance of religious elements in the single associations' programs and co-education. The exact number of members of the CES is unknown.
The 21st World Scout Jamboree was held in July and August 2007 and formed a part of the Scouting 2007 Centenary celebrations of the world Scout Movement. The event was hosted by the United Kingdom, as 2007 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Scouting on Brownsea Island.

The 23rd World Scout Jamboree took place in Kirarahama, Yamaguchi in western Japan from 28 July to 8 August 2015. The event was attended by 33,628 Scouts and leaders. The theme was 和 Wa: A Spirit of Unity. The kanji 和, meaning harmony, unity or togetherness, was part of the theme. Wa is also an early name for Japan.
Scouting in East of England is about Scouting in the official region of East of England. It is largely represented by The Scout Association of the United Kingdom and some Groups of traditional Scouting including the Baden-Powell Scouts' Association.
Jamboree 2008 was developed as "an Inter-organisational & International event" which was intended to "bring 600 young people from Scouting and Guiding together — to develop skills & friendships that will lay the foundations for the next 100 years of Scouting". The Jamboree was set up to be independent of Associations, and hoped to involve members of the World Federation of Independent Scouts (WFIS), the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
The New Zealand Scout Jamboree is a Jamboree which is held every three years by Scouts New Zealand. The Jamboree is traditionally held in summer between late December and early January, with a significant New Years party. The 23rd New Zealand Scout Jamboree was held at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton in the North Island from 30 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.
The 25th World Scout Jamboree was the 25th edition of the World Scout Jamboree, the biggest event on scout movement, that happens every four years in a different country, held from 1–12 August 2023 at Saemangeum, North Jeolla, South Korea. It was hosted by Korea Scout Association with the theme, "Draw Your Dream". About 43,000 participants from 158 countries attended. The location, Saemangeum, is a reclaimed tidal flat on the coast of the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The campsite is flat, overlooks the sea on one side and features a view of the mountains. The site is about 8.8 square kilometres (3.4 sq mi), 6.2 km × 1.7 km.
Scouting in Ireland has hosted many jamborees and jamborettes since Scouting started there in 1908.
The 26th World Scout Jamboree is an upcoming World Scout Jamboree that is scheduled to be held in 2027 in Gdańsk, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Northern Poland. Participants will be between the ages of 14 and 17. Individuals who are older than 18 years of age can take part as volunteer International Service Team (IST) members. The event will mark 120 years since the beginning of Scouting worldwide, which will be an important part of the programme.
