Temptation Island is an American reality television series originally broadcast by Fox. The series premiered on January 10, 2001, and it concluded with its third season on September 29, 2003. Temptation Island depicted four unmarried couples who traveled to a tropical island to have their fidelity tested. The couples were separated from one another for two weeks, in which they were required to commingle with a group of single members of the opposite sex whose purpose was to persuade the couples to have an affair. The series drew intense backlash due to its controversial premise; however, it averaged high ratings over the course of its first season. The series is hosted by American television presenter Mark L. Walberg.
The Challenge is a reality competition show on MTV that is a spin-off of two of the network's reality shows, The Real World and Road Rules. All couples in the first seven seasons were male-female, while in the eighth season a contestant's match could be someone of any gender.
Acapulco Shore is a Mexican reality television series broadcast on MTV Latin America. It premiered on September 27, 2014, and is the Mexican adaptation of the American show Jersey Shore. The show follows the lives of eight participants who live in Acapulco, Mexico. The first season reached 7.2 million people in the Latin American region and was renewed for a second season, with the premiere airing on MTV on May 19, 2015. The tenth season premiered on September 27, 2022.

Ex on the Beach Couples: Now or Never is the sixth and final season of the American version of the reality television show Ex on the Beach. It premiered on MTV on February 9, 2023. In April 2022, MTV released a casting call for a new season, and also announced a new format for the show, featuring real life couples for the first time.
