The Challenge is a reality competition show on MTV that is a spin-off of two of the network's reality shows, The Real World and Road Rules. Premiering in 1998, it originally featured alumni from these two shows. Casting for The Challenge has slowly expanded to include contestants who debuted on The Challenge itself, alumni from other MTV franchises including Are You the One?, Ex on the Beach, Geordie Shore, siblings and friends, and from other non-MTV shows and competitions. The contestants compete against one another in various extreme challenges to avoid elimination. The winners of the final challenge win the competition and typically share a large cash prize. The Challenge is currently hosted by T. J. Lavin.

Are You the One? Brasil is a Brazilian reality television series on MTV (Brazil). It is a Brazilian version of the original American series. It follows 20 people who are living together in a tropical destination to find their perfect match. If the 10 men and 10 women are able to correctly choose all ten perfect matches in ten weeks, they will win R$500 thousand to split among them. Each episode the cast will pair up with whoever they believe their perfect match is to compete in a challenge. The winners of the challenge will go on a date, and have a chance to test their match in the truth booth. The cast members will choose one of the winning couples to go to the truth booth to determine if they are a perfect match or not. This is the only way to confirm matches. Each episode ends with a matching ceremony where the couples will be told how many perfect matches they have, but not which matches are correct. It debuted in February 2015 on MTV (Brazil).
The Challenge XXX: Dirty 30 is the thirtieth season of the MTV reality competition series, The Challenge. It was filmed in Colombia during May and June 2017, with alumni from The Real World, Road Rules, The Challenge, and Are You the One? competing. Jonathan Murray, Gil Goldschein, Scott Freeman, and Fred Birckhead were the executive producers, with Ryan Smith and Danny Wascou serving as co-executive producers.
The second season of MTV's reality dating series Are You the One? premiered on October 6, 2014. Unlike the previous season, one contestant has two matches, resulting in eleven female but only ten male contestants. Christina is revealed as the first girl of the threeway couple. It is a race between Christina and another to find their perfect match and be confirmed in the "Truth-Booth." The first couple of the threeway-couple to do so would end up in the honeymoon-suite, while the other girl would have to leave empty-handed. However, this only occurred if one of those two matches were confirmed in the "Truth Booth." If neither Christina, nor the other girl are sent home, and the group wins the money by getting 10 matches at the matchup ceremony, then all 21 contestants would win the monetary prize.

Are You the One? Season of Fate is the seventh season of MTV's reality dating series Are You the One?. It was filmed in Kona, Hawaii, at the Hokukano Bayhouse and premiered on August 15, 2018. This season featured a change in the rules to get a date, the contestants no longer had to compete against each other to win a date. Instead Terrance would choose two people, one guy and one girl, to come up and press a button stopping a scrolling wheel of faces at random of the opposite sex. Two guys and two girls would be chosen at random to go on a four-person date to couple off as they choose. Everyone back at the house then voted whichever couple they thought most likely to be a 'Perfect Match' into the Truth Booth.
Are You the One? Come One, Come All is the eight season of MTV's reality dating series Are You the One?. It was filmed in Kona, Hawaii and premiered on June 26, 2019. For the first time on Are You the One?, all cast members were bisexual, with no gender limitations on their potential perfect matches.
