Mortal Kombat Trilogy is a fighting game released by Midway in 1996 as the second and final update to Mortal Kombat 3 for the PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn and PCs. Further versions were also released for the Game.com and R-Zone. It features a similar basic gameplay system and the same story as Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but adds characters and stages restored from Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II. New additions to the game included the "Aggressor" bar. The Brutality mechanic was introduced with this installment. The game was met with positive to mixed reviews upon release.

Samurai Shodown V Special is the ninth entry in SNK's Samurai Shodown series of fighting games. It is an upgraded version of the game Samurai Shodown V and is the last official game for the Neo Geo platform. A further upgraded version of the game called Samurai Shodown V Perfect was location-tested in late 2004, but not officially released until it was included in the Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection in 2020. However, the fully uncensored version was released only in arcades on exA-Arcadia on September 29, 2022.

The Rumble Fish (ザ・ランブルフィッシュ) is a 2D fighting game developed by Dimps and first published by Sammy for the Atomiswave arcade platform in 2004, and was later ported by Sega to the Sony PlayStation 2 on March 17, 2005. In 2020, a homebrew conversion was released for the Dreamcast. A sequel, The Rumble Fish 2, has since been developed.

Phantom Breaker is a fighting video game developed and published by 5pb. for the Xbox 360 in June 2011. An arcade version of the game running on Sega's RingEdge 2 arcade board, titled Phantom Breaker: Another Code, was released in April 2013. In addition, an enhanced edition, titled, Phantom Breaker: Extra, was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. A beat 'em up spin-off, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds, was released via Xbox Live Arcade.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero is a 2010 role-playing video game developed by Nihon Falcom. The game is a part of the Trails series, itself a part of the larger The Legend of Heroes series. It takes place in Crossbell, a city-state located between two great powers fighting for control over it, and follows Lloyd Bannings and his colleagues Elie MacDowell, Randy Orlando, and Tio Plato. The four form the Special Support Section, a newly formed department of the Crossbell police. The game and its 2011 sequel, Trails to Azure, form the Crossbell arc of the series.

Fighting EX Layer is a 2018 fighting video game developed by Arika. It is a spiritual successor to Fighting Layer (1998) and the Street Fighter EX series, which Arika had developed, and features many of the same characters from the latter. The game was released originally for PlayStation 4, with ports for Microsoft Windows and arcades following. A mobile version of the game, titled Fighting EX Layer -α, was later released for iOS and Android devices in 2019 and a port to Nintendo Switch titled Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash was released in 2021.
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is a fighting game developed for PS4 by SNK and for Nintendo Switch and PC by Abstraction Games. The game was released for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in September 2018 and was published in Japan and Asia by SNK and SEGA and in International version by NIS America. An arcade version was released the following October and the Microsoft Windows version arrived in February 2019. It is a spiritual successor to SNK Gals' Fighters and features a 2v2 tag-team gameplay system, which was also used in Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle.
Cotton Fantasy: Superlative Night Dreams is a scrolling shooter video game originally released in Japanese arcades in 2021 and in global arcades in February 2022. It was ported to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. A PC version was later released under the original Rock 'n' Roll title. The sixth installment in the Cotton franchise, it is a follow-up to Rainbow Cotton and the first main entry of the series in over 20 years. In the game, players assume the role of young witch Cotton or any of the six additional characters, each one having their own gameplay style, on a quest to defeat enemies and bosses to retrieve "Willow" candy for Fairyland from Tacoot, Game's Antagonist. The arcade release used the ALL.Net P-ras MULTI Ver.3 hardware in Japan and exA-Arcadia outside of Japan.
Capcom Fighting Collection is a fighting game compilation by Capcom in celebration of the Street Fighter series' 35th anniversary. The collection includes arcade versions of ten fighting games originally released by Capcom between 1994 and 2003, including all five Darkstalkers games. It was released on June 24, 2022 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. A follow-up focusing on the Marvel vs. Capcom series, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, is set for release in 2024, while a direct sequel, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, is set for release in 2025.
