Fightmag (stylized as FIGHTMAG) is a news website (online magazine) that covers combat sports internationally, such as boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts, as well as bare-knuckle fighting and professional wrestling. Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux was a professional boxing match between world champions Vasiliy Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux for the WBO junior lightweight championship. The bout was held on December 9, 2017 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Lomachenko and Rigondeaux are regarded as two of the best amateurs in history, with each boxer winning two Olympic gold medals. It was the first time dual gold medal winners fought professionally, and it was a fight the great Roy Jones Jr. stated, "To me, on paper, this is the best professional fight that has ever been made." Lomachenko won by TKO when Rigondeaux retired on his stool after round 6 after claiming to have injured his left hand.

Timofei Konstantinovich Tszyu is an Australian professional boxer who held the World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior-middleweight title from 2023 to 2024. He is the son of former light-welterweight world champion of boxing, Kostya Tszyu and older brother of Nikita Tszyu.

George Kambosos Jr is an Australian professional boxer. He held the unified lightweight championship from 2021 to 2022, as well as the Ring magazine title during that time.

Devin Haney vs. Jorge Linares was a professional boxing match contested between WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, and former three-division world champion Jorge Linares. The bout took place at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 29, 2021, with Haney's WBC title on the line. Haney won by unanimous decision with the judges scoring the bout 116-112, 116-112, 115-113 in his favor.

Teófimo López vs. George Kambosos Jr. was a lightweight professional boxing match between unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight champion Teófimo López, and IBF mandatory challenger George Kambosos Jr. The fight took place on November 27, 2021, at the Hulu Theater, and was broadcast live exclusively on the streaming service DAZN. López was a 13-1 favourite heading into this fight. Kambosos Jr. won in one of the biggest upsets in recent boxing history.

Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Masayoshi Nakatani was a lightweight professional boxing match contested between three-division former unified lightweight world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko, and lightweight contender Masayoshi Nakatani. The bout took place on June 26, 2021, at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in Paradise, Nevada. Lomachenko won the fight by ninth-round technical knockout.

Nico Ali Walsh is an American professional boxer. The grandson of Muhammad Ali, Walsh came into the ring for his pro debut in August 2021 wearing his grandfather's personal white Everlast shorts, which were passed down to him in 2016 with the death of his grandfather.

Haney defeated Kambosos via unanimous decision to become the first undisputed lightweight champion since Pernell Whitaker in 1990, and the first in the four-belt era.
