Fishtrap, also known as Beavers Fish Trap or Sims Trap, is an unincorporated community in Talladega County, Alabama, United States. [1]
Talladega County is a county located in the east central portion of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2020 census, the population was 82,149. Its county seat is Talladega.
The Hoh or Chalá·at are a Native American tribe in western Washington state in the United States. The tribe lives on the Pacific Coast of Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. The Hoh moved onto the Hoh Indian Reservation, 47°44′31″N124°25′17″W at the mouth of the Hoh River, on the Pacific Coast of Jefferson County, after the signing of the Quinault Treaty on July 1, 1855. The reservation has a land area of 1.929 square kilometres and a 2000 census resident population of 102 persons, 81 of whom were Native Americans. It lies about half-way between its nearest outside communities of Forks, to its north, and Queets, to its south. The river is central to their culture. The main resources they used included cedar trees, salmon, and the nearby vegetation. They also traded and bartered with other tribes closer to Eastern Washington, near the Plateaus and Great Plains.

Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park is a United States National Historical Park located in the Kona District on the Big island of Hawaiʻi in the U.S. state of Hawaiʻi. It includes the National Historic Landmarked archaeological site known as the Honokōhau Settlement. Mingo Fishtrap is a soul and funk band based in Austin, Texas. They were formed in the mid-1990s in Denton, Texas. Fishtrap Lake is a 1,130-acre (5 km2) reservoir in Pike County, Kentucky. Dedicated by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968, the lake was formed by the impounding of the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River at the 195-foot-high Fishtrap Dam by the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

The 1995 Alabama Crimson Tide football team represented the University of Alabama for the 1995–96 college football season, competing in the Western Division in the Southeastern Conference. The team played their home games at Bryant–Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama. Gene Stallings led the Crimson Tide to an 8–3 record. Due to NCAA sanctions, no bowl appearance was made.
Fishtrap Lake State Park is a park located southeast of Pikeville, Kentucky in Pike County. The park opened to the public in 2003. Fishtrap Lake, the park's main feature, covers approximately 1,130 acres (460 ha).
Fishtrap Cove is a small cove 0.1 nautical miles (0.2 km) northwest of Boulder Point on the southwest side of Stonington Island, close off the west coast of Graham Land, Antarctica. It was first surveyed by the United States Antarctic Service, 1939–41, and resurveyed in 1946–47 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS), who so named it because FIDS parties used this cove for setting fish traps.

The Alvin M. and Betty Josephy Library of Western History and Culture is a private, non-circulating SAGE-affiliated library located in Joseph, Oregon, United States. It is located on the second floor of the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture. It is based on the collection and writings of historian and Native American advocate Alvin M. Josephy, Jr. and his wife Betty. In the library's own words, it "honors Alvin's work as a historian of and advocate for American Indians, and Alvin and Betty's commitment to literature, history, the arts, the West, and to the people of all colors and backgrounds who have lived in and loved the West."

Since February 22, 2017, Daniels has served as minority leader in the state House of Representatives, leading the House Democratic Caucus.
