Fluxus is the annual Techno -Cultural Festival of Indian Institute of Technology Indore. It is a 3-day event generally held in the month of February. Started in 2011, Fluxus is the Central India's largest college festival. [1] Fluxus is a college festival managed entirely by the students of IIT Indore.

Indian Institute of Technology Indore public university in Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Indian Institute of Technology Indore, located in Madhya Pradesh, is one of the Institutes of Technology established by the Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 which declares eight new IITs as well as the conversion of Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University to IIT. The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012. Arjun Singh, the then HRD minister of India laid the foundation stone of IIT Indore on 17 February 2009 in its permanent campus located in Simrol, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The institution started functioning from 2009-10 in a temporary campus at Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya under mentorship of IIT Bombay.The first batch of IIT Indore graduated in the year 2013, and the institute celebrated its first Convocation Day on 8 June 2013. IIT Indore's permanent campus is at Simrol, which is approximately 25 km from downtown Indore. From January 2016 onwards, the institute is functioning entirely at the permanent campus at Simrol.

Pronites

Fluxus 2012 included a performance by the rock band Indus Creed.Fluxus 2013 adorned EDM night with DJ Dualist Enquiry and Bollywood singer Sona Mohapatra. [2] [3] Fluxus 2014 featured an interactive session with roadies fame Raghu Ram. The Pro-Nites featured the fusion band Advaita [4] and Bollywood singer Aditi Singh Sharma [5] along with her band "Groove Adda". Fluxus 2015 showcased Miss Diva as flagship event which was gateway for Miss Universe in Central Universe. The EDM night featured Sunburn Campus with DJ Julia Bliss and COD3D. The event ended with a performance from Farhan Akhtar [6] Live who was performing for the first time in central India.

Indus Creed

Indus Creed is a rock group based in Mumbai, India. It was founded in 1984 as Rock Machine and renamed in 1993, and included Uday Benegal (vocals), Mark Selwyn (bass), Mahesh Tinaikar (guitars), Zubin Balaporia (keyboards), Mark Menezes (Drums) and Jayesh Gandhi (guitars). It disbanded in 1997, only to regroup in 2010 with some new members.

It is generally produced for playback by disc jockeys who create seamless selections of tracks, called a mix, by segueing from one recording to another. EDM producers also perform their music live in a concert or festival setting in what is sometimes called a live PA.

Sona Mohapatra Indian singer

Sona Mohapatra is an Indian singer, music composer and lyricist born in Cuttack, Odisha. She has performed in concerts across the world and has been featured in albums, singles, concert webcasts, music videos, Bollywood films and advertisements. In addition to her own material, Mohapatra has recorded remixes of songs by David Bowie, with "Let's Dance", and INXS, with "Afterglow", with the latter proving particularly successful.

Fluxus 2016 featured Sunburn Campus by DJ Shaan and Miss Tara. Bollywood pronight by Sunidhi Chauhan. Fluxus 2017 featured DJ Ray and Pankhudi Gidwani. The event finally concluded with the performance of Shirley Setia.

Sunidhi Chauhan Indian playback singer

Sunidhi Chauhan is an Indian playback singer. Born in Delhi, she began performing in local gatherings at the age of 4 and made her career debut at the age of 12, with the film Shastra (1996). During the year, she won the first singing reality show titled Meri Awaz Suno and rose to prominence after recording "Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi" from Mast (1999). It won her Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent and was nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer.

Shirley Setia is a New Zealand singer and performer. She is from Auckland, New Zealand. Shirley is making her film debut with Nikamma.

Engineers and technical enthusiasts from all across the region come together to make the technicals a huge success of the fest. Koyal Rana is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Femina Miss India 2014 beauty pageant. She came to attention at the age of 15 during MTV Teen Diva. At the age of 21 she represented India in Miss World 2014 that was held in London and ended up to be in the top 10 with the highest score. She was crowned Miss World Asia after the event.

Rendezvous (festival) Annual culfest of the Indian Institute of Technology

Rendezvous, famously known as RDV is the annual Cultural Festival of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. It is a four-day-long event held in October every year. In the 2019 version, Rendezvous hosted 280+ events and had a footfall of over 80,000+, 15,000+ participants and 200+ artists from more than 25 countries.

Unmaad is the annual cultural festival of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Conducted over a period of three days, Unmaad includes events like dramatics, music performances, dances, quizzes, debates, street plays, professional concerts and fashion show. Having started off under the banner of 'Mardi Gras' the fest was initially home to a small number of quizzes and music events widely regarded as South India's most competitive. Through the early 21st century the festival, having changed its avatar and adopted the name 'Saarang', grew rapidly with the help of corporate sponsorship, collaboration with large-scale event organisers and international artistes from 5 continents.

Pearl (cultural festival) official National Annual Cultural Festival of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus

Pearl is the annual national cultural fest of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. Initially introduced in 2009 as an intra-college festival, a year after the foundation of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, the fest grew into a national level college cultural fest with participation from more than 50 colleges across India with footfall around 8000. Pearl hosts a variety of cultural events and competitions which include music, dance, literary, photography and quizzing. Sunburn is a commercial electronic dance music festival held in India. It was previously in Vagator, Goa, India every year, but now has been shifted to Pune in Maharashtra. It is Asia's largest music festival. The festival is an amalgamation of Music, Entertainment, Food and Shopping, and was ranked by CNN in 2009 as one of the Top 10 Festivals in world. The Festival was incepted by serial entrepreneur Shailendra Singh, while Jt MD of Percept. Under his captaincy, the festival grew to be ranked the 3rd largest dance festival in the world, after Tomorrowland and Ultra as per the IMS APAC Business Report 2014. Spread over 3 days, the festival has multiple stages with artists playing simultaneously.

Srijan

Srijan is the annual cultural festival of the Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad. It is a three day long event held in the month of March every year. It draws a footfall of more than 30,000 students from more than 100 institutes across the country.

Waves is the annual cultural festival of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. It is a three-day-long festival held in the late October – early November period. It is a cultural festival that is held annually to celebrate music, dance and art. It is an inter college festival with students coming in to participate in events and competitions from across the country. With a footfall of over 1,000,000 recorded in recent editions, it is one of the leading college festivals in the country.

Thomso (festival)

Thomso is the annual cultural fest of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Established in 1982, the festival is held over a span of three days at the end of October and the beginning of November. The 2018 edition consisted of over 150+ events and hosted 9000+ guest students from 200 colleges across India, in addition to about 10,000 students from the hosting institution.
