This section shows the match contested between the 4th-placed teams of the qualification tournaments of Asia and Africa, as both have 3 and a half number of spots at the 2024 Olympic Football Tournament in Paris. The play-off will be the 4th-placed team from Africa, Guinea, versus the 4th-placed Asian team, Indonesia.

A total of 16 teams are scheduled to compete in the men's football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In addition to the host nation France, 15 men's national under-23 teams qualified or will qualify from the tournaments of the six continental confederations.

Twelve teams are scheduled to compete in the women's football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In addition to France, the host nation, 11 women's national teams qualified from six separate continental confederations.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations</span> 4th edition of U-23 AFCON

The 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, known for sponsorship purposes as the TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, was the 4th edition of the quadrennial African football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for its male national teams consisting of players under 23 years of age. It was held in Morocco between 24 June and 8 July 2023. It was the second time that Morocco hosted the tournament, as they were the inaugural hosts back in 2011.

The men's qualification for the Olympic basketball tournament will occur between August 2023 and 2024, allocating twelve teams for the final tournament. All five FIBA zones are expected to have a representation in the Olympic basketball event.

The women's qualification for the Olympic basketball tournament occurred between 2022 and 2024; all five FIBA zones were expected to have a representation in the Olympic basketball event.

The men's qualification for the Olympic handball tournament occurred between January 2023 and March 2024, assigning quota places to the twelve squads for the Games: the hosts, the world champion, four continental events winners, and six teams from the IHF World Olympic qualifying tournaments, respectively.
