BigBang is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of four members: G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung. Originally a five-piece band, Seungri retired from the entertainment industry in March 2019. Dubbed the "Kings of K-pop", they helped spread the Korean Wave internationally and are considered one of the most influential acts in K-pop. They are known for their trendsetting musical experimentation, self-production, and stage presence.
South Korean boy band Big Bang have released eight studio albums, eight extended plays, two reissues, eight compilation albums, ten live albums, seven single albums, and 36 singles. As of May 2017, the group has sold over 4.3 million physical albums in South Korea and Japan alone.
Choi Seung-hyun, better known by his stage name T.O.P, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He performed as an underground rapper before joining the record label YG Entertainment and debuted as the main rapper for the boy band Big Bang in 2006. The group became one of the best-selling groups of all-time in Asia and one of the best-selling boy bands in the world. In 2010, while the group was on hiatus, T.O.P and G-Dragon collaborated to release the album, GD & TOP. As a solo rapper, he has released two digital singles, "Turn It Up" (2010) and "Doom Dada" (2013), that have peaked at number two and four, respectively, on the Gaon Digital Chart.
Hot Issue is the second Korean-language extended play (EP) by South Korean boy band Big Bang. It was released under YG Entertainment on November 22, 2007, and spawned the single "Last Farewell".
Dong Young-bae, better known by his stage names Taeyang and SOL, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer. He made his debut in 2006 as a member of the South Korean boy band Big Bang. Tonight is the fourth extended play of South Korean boy band Big Bang. It was their first new material released in South Korea after two-year hiatus as a group. Made is the third Korean-language studio album by South Korean boy band Big Bang. Made was preceded by four single albums, each containing two singles each, all released in increments from May—August 2015. After over a year of delays, the full album was released on December 13, 2016. It marks the group's comeback after a three-year hiatus and their first full length Korean album since Remember (2008). The production of Made was primarily handled by G-Dragon along with long-time group collaborator Teddy Park. Musically, the album employs a variety of musical styles, integrating a range of genres from hip hop, EDM, pop rock, R&B, to trap.
"Loser" is a song by South Korean boy band Big Bang. It was released on May 1, 2015, alongside "Bae Bae" as the group's fifth single album M, and as the first single of their third Korean-language studio album Made (2016). The single marked BigBang's first release since Still Alive (2012). Written by G-Dragon, T.O.P, Teddy and produced by Teddy alongside Taeyang, "Loser" has been described as a hip hop and R&B song.
E is the seventh single album by South Korean band Big Bang, and the fourth and last from their Made Series, before releasing the full album.
Special Final in Dome Memorial Collection is the third Japanese extended play by South Korean boy band Big Bang, released on December 5, 2012. It was released as a part of their 2012 Alive concert tour.
GD X Taeyang is a South Korean duo from YG Entertainment, consisting of G-Dragon and Taeyang from Big Bang. After several years of appearing on each other's solo materials, the duo officially released the single "Good Boy" in 2014, which went on to top Billboard's World Digital Songs chart and sold over a million digital units in South Korea.
0.TO.10 was the tenth concert tour by South Korean boy band Big Bang that was held to celebrate the group's tenth anniversary. The tour visited Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong from July 2016 to January 2017. The shows were live-streamed through theatres in Japan, Tencent QQ in China and Naver's V app. BigBang held 24 concerts in six cities, which attracted more than 1.1 million fans.
"Fxxk It" is a song recorded by South Korean boy band Big Bang. It was released on August 16, 2007, by YG Entertainment as the first single from BigBang's first extended play Always (2007). It became the group's breakout hit, topping charts in their home country for several weeks and consequently winning Song of the Year at the 2007 Mnet Asian Music Awards. "Last Farewell" is a song by South Korean boy band Big Bang. It was released through YG Entertainment on November 22, 2007 as the lead single from the quintet's second extended play Hot Issue. The song was written by G-Dragon and composed by the member and Brave Brothers. Mirroring the success of the group's preceding single "Lies," the song went on to become a chart topper.
"Haru Haru" is a song by South Korean boy group Big Bang. Released through YG Entertainment on August 8, 2008, as the lead single for their third extended play Stand Up, it became one of their most popular singles and one of South Korea's best-selling songs, besides being regarded as one of the most influential singles to come out of Korean pop music. A Japanese version of the song was included in their third Greatest Hits album The Best of Big Bang (2011) and in the Japanese version of Alive (2012).
