Big Bang Special Event is a series of fan meeting events by Big Bang, which began in 2016 with 8 shows in Japan and South Korea, held alongside their 10th anniversary tour 0.TO.10. All members attended the first leg of the tour, however T.O.P missed all shows of the second leg, due to his two-year mandatory military service in South Korea.

Events

2016 Event

The band held fan meetings alongside their Japanese tour 0.TO.10, under the name BIGBANG SPECIAL EVENT -HAJIMARI NO SAYONARA, with seven events. The shows were an hour long, and included a talk session with the five members and a live performance, each scheduled to be held before every dome concert. [1] [2] In December 2016, a show was announced in South Korea, and was held on the same day of the last concert at Gocheok Sky Dome. [3]

2017 Events

On February 14, 2017, it was announced that BigBang will hold fan meetings in Japan from the end of May to early June. This was the first event without T.O.P after his enlistment in February 2017, and the second time BigBang held fan meetings inside dome arenas. The event was approximately two hours long, with four talk sessions, a game corner and live performances. [4] [5]

October 5, 2017, as a part of their Last Dance Tour, YGEX announced two fans meeting to be held on Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome. [6]

Since the inception of the Gaon Digital Chart in 2010, Daesung achieved two Top 10 songs, the digital single "Cotton Candy" and "Wings" from the BigBang album Alive (2012).

iKon (Korean: 아이콘), stylized as iKON, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment. The lineup consists of six members: Jay, Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne, and Chan. Originally a seven-piece band, B.I departed from the group in June 2019.

BigBang Fanclub Event ~Fantastic Babys~ is a special fan meeting for BigBang's fan club in Japan, it's started in 2012, with four shows. The last event was held in 2016. All the members of BigBang including, G-Dragon, Sol, V.I and D-Lite attended all shows, except T.O.P who missed all shows, due to other schedules.

BigBang broke their own record by being the only foreign act to hold a dome-sized arena tour in Japan for the fifth consecutive year. The 2017 iKON Japan Dome Tour was the third tour by iKON in Japan. The tour began on May 20, 2017 in Osaka at Kyocera Dome, and concluded on November 12, 2017 in Kobe. The tour had a total attendance of 323,000, making it iKON's biggest and longest Japanese tour. Despite being marketed as a dome tour, it is not actually a true dome tour, as only two domes were included.

The 5-Star Dome Tour was the first all-dome tour and third overall concert tour by South Korean boy band Stray Kids in support of their third studio album 5-Star and their third Japanese-language EP Social Path / Super Bowl . It began in Fukuoka on August 16, 2023, and concluded in Tokyo on October 29, 2023. The tour received 341,000 attendees in Japan.
