D is the sixth single album by South Korean band Big Bang, and the third from their Made Series.
The first poster of D was released on June 26, with the name of the title track, and the date of album release. [2] The second poster with the second title track was released on the next day June 27. [3] The two new songs were released on July 1, and the physical album will be released on the 7th. [4] The release is supported by a live countdown on Naver Starcast on 30 June, 11 pm. [5]
In less than 20 hours D sold over 500,000 copies in China. [6] [7] In only three days the album sold over 650,000 in China, making a record of the fastest selling album in China. [8] After only 9 days the album sold over 800,000 copies and become the best selling album for Bigbang in China. Both singles sold over half million copies in the first week in South Korea. On August 1, 2016 the album reached 1 million digital sales in China. As of March 2017, the album has sold over 1.3 million copies on QQ Music, making it one of the best-selling digital albums in Chinese history.
It charted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart on July 16, [9] the album sold on July 89,017 copies. [10] In Japan the album debuted at number 16, with total 4,917 copies sold. [11]
On YouTube, the video included on billboard's Most Viewed K-Pop Videos in America & Around the World in June, peaking No.9 on both America and World, with only counting less than 24 hours views. [12]
Before the releasing of the singles Tablo from Epik High called "If You" breathtaking, [13] while "Sober" a song that "kicks asses". [14] Yang Hyun-suk named "If You" the saddest song that BIGBANG has ever made. [15]
Billboard talked about "If You", saying that it was the "band's most instantly striking pieces in years." [16] Osen talked about the mix between fun and sadness in the album, and how only BigBang can make it work, "Utmost tenderness and fun and exciting feelings are all mixed together in the song. Following the BIGBANG style but new, it was the pinnacle of BIGBANG style.", they called "If You" "is the saddest song ever in BIGBANG's history" and "Sober", "a song that everyone can enjoy cheerfully." [17] [18]
G-Dragon received good reviews for his writing, "G-Dragon shows of his formidible [ sic ] songwriting chops, evoking the complexity of "Lies" or "Haru Haru"." Also calling D one of the best releases from MADE Series. [19]
The first live performance was during their Made Tour in Bangkok, Thailand on July 11, 2015.

BigBang is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of three members: G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. Originally a five-piece band, Seungri retired from the entertainment industry in March 2019 and T.O.P left in May 2023. Dubbed the "Kings of K-pop", they helped spread the Korean Wave internationally and are considered one of the most influential acts in K-pop. They are known for their trendsetting musical experimentation, self-production, and stage presence.
Kang Dae-sung, better known mononymously as Daesung and his Japanese stage name D-Lite, is a South Korean singer who made his musical debut in 2006 as a member of the South Korean boy band Big Bang. He debuted as a solo artist in South Korea with the number one trot song "Look at Me, Gwisoon" in 2008. Since the inception of the Gaon Digital Chart in 2010, Daesung achieved two Top 10 songs, the digital single "Cotton Candy" and "Wings" from the BigBang album Alive (2012).
South Korean singer Taeyang began his career as the main vocalist of the K-Pop and hip-hop group Big Bang. His first solo single was "My Girl", included in BigBang's debut album Big Bang Vol.1 (2006). His first extended play, Hot (2008) yielded the chart-topper single "Only Look at Me". His first full-length album, Solar was released in July 2010 and became the first by an Asian artist to top iTunes charts in North America, in addition to peaking atop the Gaon Albums Chart.
Alive is the fifth Korean extended play by South Korean boy group Big Bang, released through YG Entertainment on February 29, 2012. Musically, it is a dance and electronic record that incorporates elements of hip hop and R&B. BigBang members G-Dragon and T.O.P wrote and produced the lyrics and music for nearly all tracks on the album. Alive spawned three digital singles that were released within the week prior—"Blue", "Fantastic Baby", and "Bad Boy", all three of which peaked within the top three positions on the Gaon Digital Chart.

0.TO.10 was the tenth concert tour by South Korean boy band Big Bang that was held to celebrate the group's tenth anniversary. The tour visited Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong from July 2016 to January 2017. The shows were live-streamed through theatres in Japan, Tencent QQ in China and Naver's V app. BigBang held 24 concerts in six cities, which attracted more than 1.1 million fans.

D-Day is the second Japanese extended play of South Korean artist, Daesung, also known by his Japanese stage name, D-Lite, member of boy band Big Bang. The album was released digitally on March 28 and physically on April 12, 2017.
"Flower Road" is a song by South Korean boy band Big Bang. It was released digitally on March 13, 2018, by YG Entertainment, as a gift and a final farewell from the group to its fans ahead of a lengthy hiatus, as the band members serve in South Korea's mandatory military service. It would also end up being their last single to feature longtime lead dancer and sub vocalist Seungri before his retirement on March 11, 2019. It was written by G-Dragon and T.O.P and produced by the former along with The Fliptones, who also participated in creating GD X Taeyang's "Good Boy" and Taeyang's "Stay with Me".
The Great Seungri is the debut Korean studio album by South Korean singer Seungri. It was released on July 20, 2018 by YG Entertainment and Genie Music. It is available in two versions and contains nine tracks, with "1, 2, 3!" as its lead single and "Where R U From" as its subtitle. This is also his final Korean release before his retirement in 2019.
