On September 27, 2021, a spin-off of On My Block , titled as Freeridge was ordered to series by Netflix. It is created and executive produced by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, Jeremy Haft, Jamie Dooner, and Jamie Uyeshiro. [1] On October 8, 2021, Bryana Salaz, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ciara Riley Wilson, and Shiv Pai were cast to star. [4] On November 4, 2022, Tenzing Norgay Trainor and Peggy Blow joined the cast in undisclosed capacities. [5] The series was filmed from May 9 to July 5, 2022, in Los Angeles. [6] On December 16, 2022, it was reported that Michael Solomon was cast to star and Trainor is part of the starring cast. The series was released on February 2, 2023. [2] On April 12, 2023, it was reported that the series was canceled after one season. [3]
