Farzar is an American animated sci-fi fantasy sitcom created by Waco O'Guin and Roger Black for Netflix. [1] The series premiered on July 15, 2022, [2] and stars Dana Snyder, Lance Reddick, Kari Wahlgren, David Kaye, Jerry Minor, Carlos Alazraqui, and Grey DeLisle. On November 15, 2023, the series was canceled after one season. [3]
Farzar takes place on the planet Farzar, where the son of the villainous czar Renzo, Prince Fichael, has been placed in charge of the S.H.A.T. Squad. The team, consisting of him and his crew —the cyborg Scootie, conjoined twins Mal and Val Skullcrusher, and Farzar's top scientist Barry Barris— leave the protective dome of their city to protect the populace from the evil Bazarack. On January 29, 2021, it was announced that Brickleberry and Paradise PD co-creators Waco O'Guin and Roger Black had made a multi-year deal with Netflix to produce various content for the streaming platform and its new in-house animation studio Netflix Animation. The animation for the series is done by Bento Box Entertainment. Production on the series began with the first season consisting of ten episodes and with Black and O’Guin serving as showrunners and executive producers for the series. Alongside the initial series announcement, it was reported that Lance Reddick, Dana Snyder, Grey Griffin, David Kaye, Kari Wahlgren, Jerry Minor, and Carlos Alazraqui had been cast in series regular roles.

Farzar received negative reviews from critics and audiences. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gave an approval rating of 33% based on 6 reviews, with an average rating of 5/10. [6]
Clint Worthington of RogerEbert.com called it "One of the Worst Animated Shows in Years". [4] Joel Keller of Decider wrote that it "could be a good show, but unless you’re a big fan of dick jokes […] you’re not going to find a lot to laugh at with this show." [7] Marty Brown of Common Sense Media gave the show one star out of five, saying that "an edgy sci-fi cartoon aims for shock value (and misses)." [8]
Dana Snyder is an American actor and comedian. He is known for his voice roles of Master Shake in Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Granny Cuyler in Squidbillies, Baby Ball on Ballmastrz: 9009, and other roles in various Adult Swim television shows. His other voice roles include voicing Gazpacho in Cartoon Network's animated series Chowder, Dr. Colosso in Nickelodeon's comedy series The Thundermans, and Scratch in Disney Channel's animated series The Ghost and Molly McGee. His live-action television show work has been in shows such as Saul of the Mole Men and Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell.
David Herman is an American actor and comedian. He was an original cast member on MADtv from 1995 to 1997, and played Michael Bolton in Office Space.

Jayme Waco O'Guin is an American comedian, actor, voice actor, animator, writer, and producer. He is the co-creator, executive producer, and a cast member of the Comedy Central animated series Brickleberry along with fellow writer Roger Black. O'Guin and Black were inspired to create Brickleberry by O'Guin's father-in-law, a former park ranger named Woody. The two later created the 2018 series Paradise PD and the 2022 sci-fi series Farzar for the American streaming service Netflix.

The series stars Dana Snyder, Cedric Yarbrough, David Herman, Tom Kenny, Sarah Chalke, and Kyle Kinane. The second season was released on March 6, 2020, and the third season was released on March 12, 2021. Netflix renewed the series for the fourth and final season, titled Paradise PD: Party Dudes, which premiered on December 16, 2022.
