The Garden City University College (GCUC) is one of the private universities in Ghana. It is located at Kenyase in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. It was established in 2001 [1] [2] as the College of Information Technology and Management Systems. The college was converted into the Garden City University College in 2004. [2] In 2005, GCUC was granted its first institutional accreditation by the National Accreditation Board. [3] It started running degree programs in October 2005 with a first cihort of 27 students, which has grown to about 6,000 students in various disciplines.

Contents

On 19 December 2024, it received the Presidential Charter from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to operate as an independent university to award its own degrees internally. The University College was christened in the charter certificate as Garden City University (GCU).
