Garhi Matani

Ghari Matani is a village in Chach Valley of Attock District in Punjab Province of Pakistan. It is situated to the south of the Indus River and has fertile lands. [1]

The population is predominately Pashtun of Yusufzai and Abdali extraction and speak Pashto dialect of the Yusufzai tribe. There are a minority of Kashmiris living there also. Some notable inscription are located in this area. [2]

A. garhi was originally considered to have been a direct ancestor to Homo and the human line, but is now thought to have been an offshoot. Like other australopithecines, A. garhi had a brain volume of 450 cc (27 cu in); a jaw which jutted out (prognathism); relatively large molars and premolars; adaptations for both walking on two legs (bipedalism) and grasping while climbing (arboreality); and it is possible that, though unclear if, males were larger than females. One individual, presumed female based on size, may have been 140 cm tall.

Jamal Garhi is a small town located 13 kilometers from Mardan at Katlang-Mardan road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northern Pakistan. Jamal Garhi was a Buddhist monastery from the first until the fifth century AD at a time when Buddhism flourished in this part of the Indian subcontinent. There is a beautiful monastery and main stupa, surrounded by chapels closely packed together. The site is called ‘The Jamal Garhi Kandarat or Kafiro Kote’ by the locals.

Khwajgan is the title for "the Masters" or "learned people". Khwajgan, as the plural for "Khwāja", is often used to refer to a network of Sufis in Central Asia from the 10th to the 16th century. In Firdowsi's Shahnama the word is used many times for some rulers and heroes of ancient Iran as well. Khwajgan or Khwaja Khel of Swat valley are those who follow Pashtunwali, a non-written ethical code.

Garhi Kapura is a town located in the eastern part of the Mardan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Garhi Kapura is the 5th Tehsil of District Mardan, 9 kilometers away from the East side of Mardan city (KPK). This area is known as the Land of Peace and Hospitality. Garhi Kapura is also called Amaazo Garhai. This name comes from a well-known Pukhtoon Tribe called the Amazai (آمازئ).
