The fourth series of Geordie Shore , a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, began airing on 6 November 2012 on MTV. The series concluded on 18 December 2012 with a double bill after 8 episodes, the series ended on a double bill to avoid the final episode airing on Christmas Day. This was the first series to feature Daniel Thomas-Tuck and Scott Timlin [1] [2] [3] and is the highest rated series to date with 4 episodes receiving over 1,000,000 viewers. [4] The series includes Vicky and Ricci's ongoing arguments continue to the point of the engagement being temporarily called off, [5] James leaving Holly distraught by the announcement of him having a girlfriend, [6] and a huge bust-up between Vicky and Sophie which has the whole house divided. [7]

As the cast arrive back in the Geordie Shore house, they're joined by Scott and Dan. Charlotte reveals she's got a boyfriend but Gaz gets overprotective over her when Dan gets too drunk and tries it on. Following the drama from the first night, Dan apologises to everyone. Anna announces that the group's new job is massaging, and Vicky asks the girls to be bridesmaids for the wedding. Holly and Scott get close and end up having sex in the toilet causing awkwardness for James, and the group are annoyed by Gaz's sudden bond with Scott.

The group plan an engagement party for Vicky and Ricci but Charlotte is anxious at how her boyfriend will react to meeting everyone. Vicky arranges to set Holly up with a boy at the party but they don't seem to have much in common. After Charlotte's boyfriend gets too drunk, he trashes the place before he's kicked out. Further arguments escalate between Sophie, Vicky and Ricci causing a lot of violence and them being removed from the house the next day. With a few days thinking about everything, Vicky returns as the girls decide to get some fish, Scramble and Egg.

James confesses to having a girlfriend but doesn't have the heart to tell Holly about it, and Dan is furious with Scott when he keeps taking his girls off him in clubs. Charlotte loses control by getting too drunk and climbs into bed with Gaz, but he climbs straight out knowing that they would both regret it in the morning. The group go on a road trip to Liverpool and Holly is distraught to find out the truth about James. Back in Newcastle, Sophie and Ricci return but there's a lot of tension as Vicky refuses to accept Sophie's apology, and Holly goes on her first date. [8]

Charlotte meets with her boyfriend to tell him about Gaz but before she has a chance to fully explain herself, he ends the relationship and walks out. James goes all out to impress his new girlfriend Kate, whilst there's still a lot of tension between Sophie and Vicky. Holly sees her date on a night out and gets closer to him, meanwhile Gaz and Charlotte get along better than ever as they spend time together working. Vicky finally approaches Sophie and gives her a chance to fully apologise, and Holly's heartbroken when James introduces Kate to the group.

Holly's far from impressed when she meets up with her date again and he's over keen, meanwhile Sophie tries to set Dan up with random girls. Ricci gets too drunk and accuses Vicky of flirting with a bouncer which causes a huge argument between the pair. Vicky decides she needs a break from Ricci and he asks for the engagement ring back before packing his bags and leaving the house. Sophie is delighted when Joel comes up to visit her but the group still find it hard to trust him. Charlotte's recent anger comes bubbling to the surface causing her to destroy the house.

For James' birthday, the group plan a surprise trip to Dublin and secretly invite Kate along. Whilst away, Vicky gets emotional after seeing James and Kate together and realises how much she misses Ricci. Holly strikes an unexpected friendship with Kate, and Scott and Dan clash again over a girl on a night out. Returning home, Vicky is horrified as the other girls visit a sex shop but Gaz is happy to go along with them. Ricci arrives back in the house and announces he's leaving the house for good to save his relationship.

Vicky's feeling emotional without Ricci but knows him not being in the house is for the best. Gaz puts doubts in Sophie's mind about Joel so she follows him to a club where he's DJing to see if he flirts with girls. As the group go for a camping trip, there's a clear connection between Holly and Scott. Anna arranged for the boys to be auctioned for charity and Dan is bought by a cougar, whereas Holly wastes no time in bidding for Scott. Charlotte gets involved in a bidding war for Gaz and realises that the feelings for him are coming back.

After spending days away from Ricci, Vicky finally decides it's time to leave the house so returns home. With false rumours about Sophie cheating being spread, Joel confronts her about it causing a huge argument between the pair. Holly confesses her love for James putting him in an awkward situation, and Dan admits he's finally had enough of feeling left out of the group. As everyone packs their bags to return home, Gaz kisses Charlotte leaving her confused over both his and her own feelings towards each other.

From 23 August 2011 until 30 August 2011, 2 Magaluf specials aired on MTV, however these episodes are featured on the series 2 DVD. The series included the turbulent relationship of Holly with Dan coming to an end, the beginning of Gaz and Charlotte's ongoing love/hate relationship, and Jay and Vicky's rocky relationship. This was the only series to feature Greg Lake.

The series concluded on 28 August 2012 after 8 episodes and 2 specials including a best bits episode and an episode counting down the top 10 moments from the series. This series is also known as Chaos in Cancun as it is the only series to be filmed in Cancún, Mexico, and it is the last series to feature Jay Gardner until his return in series 6 and Rebecca Walker. This series featured Vicky and Ricci's relationship on the rocks before they finally got engaged, Holly and James growing closer when James breaks his leg, and more bickering and flirting between Gaz and Charlotte.

This series was filmed in Newcastle upon Tyne with the cast visiting various locations around Europe, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Prague and Tignes. This was the final series to feature cast members Daniel Thomas-Tuck, and Ricci Guarnaccio, who departed the series following the breakdown of his relationship with Vicky Pattison. The series focused heavily on Charlotte finally being honest with Gaz about her feelings towards him, a rift growing between Holly and James following instructions from girlfriend Kate, and the end of Ricci and Vicky's turbulent relationship.

The sixth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, began airing on 9 July 2013, and concluded after 8 episodes concluding on 27 August 2013. Filming began for this series in April 2013 and concluded in May. This series was the first to be filmed in Australia. Former cast member Jay Gardner returned as a guest, who had originally appeared in the show from series one to three. This series focused heavily on Gaz and Scott being isolated from the group after putting getting with girls before the rest of the group, leading to a fight with James, Charlotte feeling homesick and considering leaving the series for her boyfriend Mitch, and a new blossoming romance between Vicky and Dan Conn.

<i>Geordie Shore</i> (series 7) Season of television series

The seventh series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was announced on 5 July 2013 after cast members Holly Hagan and Vicky Pattison had been arrested for assault on a night out during filming. The series began on 17 September 2013, just three weeks after Series 6 had concluded, and finished airing on 22 October 2013 after six episodes. This series had a shorter run that usual due to filming being postponed after the night of the assault. It was reported that filming for the series began on 26 June 2013 as the cast members had all been absent from Twitter since then. This was the last series to feature Sophie Kasaei after she was axed from the series following a racial slur. It was also the first series to feature Sophie's cousin, Marnie Simpson and included the brief return of Jay Gardner, who had previously featured in series one to three, and again during the sixth series for two episodes. Following Vicky's arrest, she was absent from the final half of the series. This series included the cast members taking part in a number of activities on their bucket list, new cast member Marnie isolating herself after breaking up the friendship between Gaz and Scott, and Jay returning to fix the drift between the cast members.

<i>Geordie Shore</i> (series 8) Season of television series

The eighth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed in October 2013 after cast member Holly Hagan announced it on Twitter and is expected to air 22 July 2014. Filming began for this series on 25 March 2014. This series will be the first not to feature former cast member Sophie Kasaei after she was axed during the seventh series following a racial slur. All other cast members from the previous series return with the addition of new cast member Aaron Chalmers who had briefly appeared during series two of the show as a one-night stand of Holly's. In May 2014, Gaz announced that the series would begin in July. An exclusive first trailer for the series was released during an episode of Ex On The Beach on 3 June 2014. It was revealed on 10 June 2014 that another new cast member had joined, 21-year-old Kyle Christie.

Ricci James Guarnaccio, is an English reality television personality, television presenter and DJ. He is best known for Geordie Shore, Celebrity Big Brother, Ex on the Beach and Dinner Date. In 2016, he began filming Ultimate Worldie, an Australian television programme.

<i>Geordie Shore</i> (series 9) Season of television series

The ninth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 12 July 2014, and began on 28 October 2014. It was also announced that the cast would travel to Paris and Somerset. All cast members from the previous series returned. Before the series launch, cast member Vicky Pattison announced that this would be her final series. She had appeared in the show since the first series.

The group of cast members for this series included star of Geordie Shore Vicky Pattison, and she was joined by two of her exes, fellow Geordie Shore cast member Ricci Guarnaccio, and Dan Conn who had briefly appeared during the sixth series of the Newcastle based show.

<i>Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle</i> Season of television series

Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle, a spin-off series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 6 February 2016 following cast member Scott's win on Celebrity Big Brother it was announced that he'd be filming for the next series of Geordie Shore the next day. However, on 12 February 2016 it was confirmed that the cast past and present would be reuniting for a mini-series to celebrate five years of the show. The series began airing on 10 May 2016. It features all of the current cast members and the return of former cast members Daniel Thomas-Tuck, James Tindale, Jay Gardner, Kyle Christie, Ricci Guarnaccio and Sophie Kasaei. The only past cast members that did not return for this series were Greg Lake, Rebecca Walker and Vicky Pattison. This series is classified as "Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle" and not billed as the thirteenth series. The series also features a new twist with Gaz and Charlotte going head-to-head as team captains planning the best nights out for their team. This series includes a special episode airing on the fifth birthday, on 24 May 2016 featuring the Geordie's reactions of previous episodes. The series also includes the show's 100th episode, airing on 31 May 2016. On 1 June 2016 it was announced that original cast member Charlotte Crosby had quit the show and that this would be her final series.

<i>Geordie Shore</i> (series 18) Season of television series

The eighteenth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle Upon Tyne was filmed in July 2018 and began airing on 16 October 2018. It concluded after ten episodes on 18 December 2018. This was the first series to include new cast member Faith Mullen. Ahead of the series it was announced that former cast member Scott Timlin would be making a return to the show. It was also announced that former cast members James Tindale, Kyle Christie and Alex MacPherson would all be making guest appearances throughout the series.

<i>Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series</i> Season of television series

The twenty-third series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 15 February 2022, when Paramount+ introduced their new lineup of unscripted series and renewals for MTV Entertainment Studios, including the show's new spin-off, although they were scheduled to start in late 2020 and 2021 but have been postponed several times due to UK COVID-19 restrictions. Filming locations include a trip to the Algarve in Portugal, Ibiza and Newcastle upon Tyne. The first trailer for the season was released in late August 2022 and premiered later that year on September 20. This was the final series to feature Marty McKenna after he was suspended from MTV. This series appears as "Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series" and not as a spin off of the show. This series brings together the cast members to celebrate Geordie Shore's 10th anniversary.

<i>Geordie Shore</i> (series 24) British television programme

The twenty-fourth series of Geordie Shore, a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne was confirmed on 6 December 2023, and began airing on 9 January 2024. After last season the original cast reunited again in a mansion in Cyprus. Bethan Kershaw, Amelia Lily, Anthony Kennedy and Louis Shan did not return to the show after the previous season.
